375 H&H Sako Kodiak For Sale

Wow, and that didn't prove to difficult for you to achieve, imagine that!!!

It was very easy for me, since I own the same rifle, and already knew the specs. Sako rifles fit me better than any other rifle.

What is your build... size/stature? Love the sako... never owned one though. Almost bought a Finnlite once.

Thanks Toby — it WOULD have worked for a gift to my brother in Alaska—-imagine that !!
Wait a minute, just so I can get this straight.
You passed up an AMAZING deal on a rifle because you were too lazy to check the specs yourself on the web?
And your brother is the one who missed out?
So you either weren't serious about buying the rifle in the first place or you just didn't care enough about your brother's possible gift.

I'd swallow my pride and walk away with this rifle.
Even a late gift is still a gift and it's a crazy good gift.

Hope it works out.

We’ll bee mass, since you seem to think you got a dog in the hunt I’ll respond to you directly. First off I’m a lot of things, but Lazy ain’t one of them. I suppose if I offered to buy your ranch you would want me to pay for the survey to find the corners. Now who’s lazy. Have a nice day jacques

Like it so far. Need to find a set of rings and really wring it out

I bought the same rifle from a local gun shoo that is closing out. I have the same issue, trying to figure out a scope & quick detach rings for it.. let me know what you find for yours..

I use Sako Optilock on mine. They are a bit expensive, but solid as a rock, and very repeatable when removing and replacing them. Makes it very easy to have two scopes set up for the same rifle.

The Optilocks are specifically made for the Sako dovetail, so they will definitely work well.

I hear that some have had trouble with ejected case hitting the windage turret of the scope - and made brackets to deflect the case.

Mine does eject the case into the turret sometimes. But I've found that if you simply take the cap off the turret while you're hunting, and put a piece of electrical tape over it to keep any moisture out, it will no longer hit.

Optilocks were one thought, but I was hoping to find a quick detach style. I have lots of time yet to find something as I don't have any hunts with it planned as of yet. I only got the rifle as it was too good of deal to pass up.

I'm thinking of drilling an tapping 8-40 using warne stainless bases and Leupold qrw rings and just cerakote the rings

Yes, Yes I would. When does the buyer not pay for the survey?
