Hi All,

JP Sauer and Sohn Drilling for sale. Chambered in 7x57R over 16 gauge. 6x power Geco scope in a claw mount. Shoots well and has been used for hunting over its life. Rifle is clean but as you can see there are scratches/wear marks on the wood and metal. Action/lockup is tight.

Has a safety and pop up rear site when scope is removed and rifle chamber is cocked.

Any questions or for more pics just let me know.

$1200 obo

How are shotgun barrels choked?

I'll have to get back to my computer to look closer at the pics.

Are the chokes sound? Looked at one once where chokes were stretched out from firing slugs through them. Can't tell on my phone if you allready sent. But I'd like a couple picks of muzzle end and from the side of the muzzle.

That would be an awesome gun to take to Africa for a combination of bird hunting and antelope!
I had a Merkel in 12x12x243 I should have never sold. It surprised a couple of coyotes while upland hunting. Fun to carry!

Nice looking early post-war rifle. These were selling in Waffen Frankonia in Wurzburg in the 70's for more than twice the OP's asking price (without a scope). No buggered screws, the soldering looks solid - particularly at the muzzles. And a great caliber. Give the stock a little TLC, maybe new rust blue on the barrels, and a solid red or black pad and it will be ready for another half century of use. I don't need it, but send me a PM late in the week if one of these numb skulls doesn't buy it, and I'll give you full asking. :)

Will do.

Drilling is sold. If the deal falls through I contact folks who are interested. Pleasantly surprised by the amount of interest. Guess I priced it right.

I might be letting go of a very nice Heym Model 33 Drilling (with a .22 Hornet barrel insert) that I bought at the Heym factory from one of the Heym family members. It will be priced higher than the Sauer but if anyone is interested PM me.

Thanks

Mark

Tell us a little more about the Heym!

I just sold this yesterday and am kicking myself for doing it. This is a NIB virgin rail never installed S&B. It would have worked nice on this drilling for sure. But, a deal is a deal.

@RedLeg I have a nice Heym 26B Double in 7x65R that you probably don't need also......

It is a Model 33 in 7x67R and 16/70 with the .22 Hornet insert for one of the shotgun barrels. Like I mentioned I bought from the Heym sales manager who is the nephew of the last of the original Heym Grandson of the founder.

The rifle was completely gone through at the factory after I bought it and regulated with Federal .22 Hornet and S&B 7x65R

I'll post some pics and the rest of specs in separate post. It has a 6x fixed scope in claw mount. It may be a Zeiss but I think it is a Geco branded scope (years ago they were built for Geco by Docter)

Not sure on the chokes but I'll email the factory and see if they have the info. It is in really nice condition. Heading back overseas so pairing down some rifles.

Well made guns. Probably full and fuller. The Breneke slug regulates surprisingly well and safely from drillings so choked.
