Don't try and overdo it would be my advice...

Ask the outfitter what is available to spoil her...

A nice special romantic evening set up by the lodge staff at some spectacular place or even a day out at a spa if available may just be the thing...

My wife highly recommends the Noga or Hot Noga pants from Duluth Trading company. They are very comfy, figure flattering and are great for long plane flights, lounging around camp and even wearing in the field. The run about $75 a pair and come in gray or black, buy your "Kitten" a couple of pair she'll love them.

Not exactly a gift, but anytime I’m going to be outside in the winter with a lady I’m sure to pack several hot hands to give her when she inevitably gets cold. My ex’s seemed to enjoy it a great deal.

Okay, as one of the few females (I think) that lurk, and comment once in a while. First off buy that woman a Lululemon gift card. They make expensive athleisure clothing (but you men can't say a dang thing I know what y'all spend on gear, you should just feel bad for my husband because I spend money on gear and fru fru crap like this too). It's what I wore on the flight and was super comfy, and wore around camp, when I wasn't looking like hell because we had spent all day in the field hunting, and barely made it in for dinner. My suggestions from their line would be scuba hoody (wearing one right now, and live in one, and they have it in camo currently, obviously not hunting clothes, but I love all things camo & camo is very "in" in the fashion world currently), align pants (tights, they have them in camo as well), dance studio pants (lined, and I think they have a nice fatigue green right now), and I got a "flight comfort pack" from them last year, and it's this really soft blanket that folds up and zips into a travel pillow.

Nice luggage is always good. I upgraded my luggage (we packed super light) before our trip last year, and it was nice to finally have a carry on with those fancy spinner (trolley) wheels.

Badlands pack - I cannot say enough good things about the badlands packs we own. I have one for hunting here at home, and one for travel/hunting abroad. Lifetime warrantied, and they are super comfy. They make a women's pack which fits great, and fits under an airplane seat.

As for things to make travel more comfortable, I can't think of anything really *nice,* other than upgrading the seats. If she hunts at home, I did just buy a Louis Vuitton rifle sling from The Southern Trapper, so that might be a nice addition to a rifle, or just buy her a gun. I've never been unhappy when my husband has brought me home a gun I wanted (not one he wanted, that would start a fight).

And totally not related to flying/travel/africa, desert dawg outfitters just released some amazingly beautiful coyote fur "boot rugs" (I know I'm speaking a different language, and I appologize), and coyote fur vest, if she's into stuff like that.

If only there were a few more ladies on AH and willing to offer good advice, a few of us guys would spend fewer nights in the Dog House!
@barbells.and.arrows , glad you hang out here. And I agree on the Badlands packs. I have a their Diablo day pack. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it to begin with, but I quickly got used to it and really like it. My only wish is that the main cargo pocket was expandable. That would make it just about perfect.

Yes! I have the Diablo for my hunting pack here, and I love it. I bummed my mom’s kali pack to carry on the plane to Africa and it was comfy but too small, since I’m a typical woman who packs too much sh*t according to my husband! And they make the diablo in a nice brown color now that doesn’t scream I kill stuff in my spare time as much as the camo one.

I have gotten into the habit of buying my better two thirds a local jewel or stone—a pink jade in Guatemala, a set of tanzanite earrings the last trip through Jo’burg, etc. seems to keep me out of trouble!!

In regards to that flight, and being palatable, two words: prescription drugs. To the original poster, seriously if she hates flying go to your primary care physician and get drugs. Granted they didn't work for me, but that might be due to the large amount of alcohol I consumed prior to and on the flight, but my husband who used restraint regarding his alcohol consumption slept the entire duration of both flights.

And randomly, regarding my Lululemon suggestion: if any of y'all have wives who travel a lot, they have a scarf that is like magic for flying. It's called a vinyasa scarf, and it can be worn a zillion different ways, so it's the perfect accessory when you are forced to pack light.

A new carry on bag that shouts "Africa" like the one I bought for my wife.

New carry on bag. I bought an Eddie Bauer Trolley carry on before our last trip and I love it, but I just ran onto this one, and I love the organization of it.

TSA Precheck or Global Entry - This would be for both of you, and I know it's extortion-ish, but it's so worth it. As a female, having makeup, a laptop, my camera, and all that crap and you have to take half of it out of your bag and take your shoes off is SUCH a pain, but with Precheck or Global Entry it makes it so much more hassle free, and I swear the agents in the precheck line are nicer.

iPad or Kindle - I took my laptop, so I could fiddle with photos, but if she's not a laptop gal, a kindle or iPad would be a good thing to buy if you don't already have them. I carry my kindle everywhere. I read in the blind, in the truck, on the plane. It's a good time killer, when you don't have phone service.

UGG Slippers - There is literally no shame in my game, so if you ever see someone on the Delta 200/201 looking like some hobo girl with camo on drinking jack and coke like there is no tomorrow it might be me. If I'm flying, I'm going to be as comfortable as possible, and I don't give a crap if someone thinks I look ridiculous. These would be excellent for wearing on the plane, and around camp. They have decent soles. And as UGGLY as UGGs are they are really comfortable, and if you wanted to go high end Russell Moccasin makes some similar shoes I think.

A new purse for travel - men don't understand this, but the purse I carry at home is not the same one I travel with. At home I have everything including the kitchen sink, a pistol, a knife, and 400 other things floating around in my purse, and much to my chagrin I can't fly with a few of those things I listed off. And I may have lost 2 different knives to TSA in the past for carrying my normal purse though security, so I've learned my lesson and I have travel purses. This is what I carry, and it fits my bose headphone case, my kindle, my RFID blocking passport holder/wallet (also a good gift idea) as well as gum, pony tail holders, chap stick, etc.

And last but not least I know you said she had gear, but this is high end made in the USA for women upland clothing, but holy moly it's beautiful, and I want the pants and shooting shirts for our next trip to Africa.
