Gift Ideas for Wife’s first Safari??

Well, I gave my wife a remodeled bathroom, @PHOENIX PHIL gave his wife a remodeled kitchen, and brand new luxury cars are quite common as well.

Ok It’s settled Upgrading our flight to Business Class…You Guys Suck! I hope I get to sit across from some of you at a Texas-hold-em Table some day! Can you say Check Raise you pricks!

The kitchen cost more than a biz class seat and rifle with scope combined!

Are you insinuating I bluffed? New granite counter tops and cabinet refacing says otherwise.

Truth.

And he offered up the cabinets for nothing. He hadn't priced out refacing. :ROFLMAO:

Ok you guys missed the point here? I was looking for practical gifts my Kitten would enjoy while hunting with me together in Namibia? take away sex toys and remodeling our home and luxury cars (unless you have a a line on American Made Hunting Cars)

Gift Ideas for Wife’s first Safari??

As the title implies I’m taking my wife on her first Safari to Namibia next June. This will be her first trip to Africa. He first long over seas flight.

I need gift Ideas that will make her adventure more enjoyable.
Valium and/or liquor for the flight. Absolutely anything she wants for going and letting you go along. Including diamonds

@Fred Gunner I was anxiously watching this for the perfect gift. I’m taking my wife on her first trip to Africa next May. We leave on May 18th, the day after our 22nd Anniversary. I’ve been trying to come up with the perfect gift for her as well. We are spending 3 days in London at her request on the trip over. I had thought that would be her gift, but I figure I better have something in wrapping paper too.

Hand her the credit card in Joburg airport and let her have at it and count your lucky stars you have a wife that hunts.

Including diamonds

You guys are killing me…I’m getting her good quality compact binoculars.

Remind me that from this day forward the only advice I will seek here is opinions on the Double Rifle I want but don't need...

Spending money on new rifles. We sure can help you out there. That's what we do best.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Women more often want to be surprised with a special gesture, not necessarily a lavish gift. Contact the safari operator and tell him it’s your anniversary, he might have ideas. Send her to the spa for the day for some pampering then go to a secluded spot next to the river for a romantic dinner.

Upgraded ticket - check; Good binoculars - check; Bose Quiet Comfort 3 noise reduction headphones - We never travel without them.

Latest ipad?
LV Toiletry bag?
LV Travel Suitcase?
Classy carry case for the above binoculars?

I second or third or fourth the Bose headphones. They are amazing for traveling. Get a Kindle if she will be sitting either at camp or in a blind with you. My wife loved the travel kit they gave us in business class, it had lip balm, some refreshing face mist, blindfold and earplugs for sleeping. You could make your own kit out of higher quality items than what an airline might give.

I forget which airline but in their kits, there were disposable slipper socks for walking around in the aircraft.

Magellan is a good site for perusing travel accessories and needs. https://www.magellans.com/

Regarding that candlelight dinner with the wife while I'm on safari? I'd rather get a root canal.

You’re definitely on the right track! Business class upgrade, headphones, comfy boots and binoculars are all very good. Having her own gun properly fitted to her prior to the trip (for lots of practice on the range) is essential.

One suggestion that would be fun is something my husband did for me on one of our adventures. Tell her not to pack any additional bras or panties for the trip. Then buy 4 to 5 pretty matching sets that are serviceable for hunting yet soft and feminine. For example, Victoria Secrets has matching sports bras and panties that fit the bill. Note: Make sure there is no strap adjuster on the bra in front where the gun butt fits into the shoulder pocket ... that hurts. Maybe even a nice nightie too. You are correct that none of this goofy-ass crotchless nonsense is practical for hunting.

Good luck and remembering that simply being with you is the most memorable part of this anniversary.

My wife, a non-hunter went with me on my first safari to Zimbabwe, via RSA. The comforts she liked were: gaiters, Bose headphones (to listen to movies on the plane as well as kill cabin noise and to listen to music while relaxing in camp) and M&M’s in the little bags for a sweet snack (also great to leave a bag for the person cleaning your tent a few times during your stay as an extra thank you).
This year I was in Namibia the first two weeks in July. Mornings and nights were in the 30’s. My wife is always cold so some warm layering clothes and some warm socks. Don’t forget gloves.

How would she feel about going to pet lion and cheata cubs?
There has got to be a place close by to do so.
And you may even get to pet a little kitty yourself as a result...(y)
