Gift Ideas for Wife’s first Safari??

As the title implies I’m taking my wife on her first Safari to Namibia next June. This will be her first trip to Africa. He first long over seas flight.

I need gift Ideas that will make her adventure more enjoyable.

A camera so she can take pictures of what interests her.

A bottle of Ibuprofen P.M.s

A good pair of boots and pair of crocs for camp. High quality headlamp or pocket torch..Robert Ruark book or Wilbur Smith, fleece jacket, a journal for recording each days activities, backpack, leatherman with scissors, Bose headphones.

I suggest excellent quality boots such as Courteney. I’m sure she’d appreciate the comfort as you’ll both be doing a mighty lot of walking.
The quality boots will last a long tine and for general hiking in your home country they’ll just keep on keeping on.

My Kitten has all the “Hunting Gear” she needs clothes, boots, etc. broken in and tested. She has Hemingway on CDs. I was looking for items that would make a lady more relaxed and comfortable on a two week African Hunt and two very long flights? The Bose headphones are a possibility?

Fred, What airline and is she actually pulling the trigger on the hunt? A lot of good suggestions already posted but I'd definitely go for the Bose noise cancelling headsets, maybe some audio books or albums and ultralight slip-on footwear for the plane. I assume you have TSA pre and Global Traveler ID. That's a stress reliever right there.

Got gaiters? How's the weather in Namibia in June? RSA, I froze my ass off in June, 22F the day we departed for the states.

Got gaiters
stuffed her stocking last Christmas with Boyt Harness GA-1 Canvas Gaiters and after my hunt this year...yup you really need Gaiters in the Namibian Bush!

Ok lets all dig in a little harder here and help a fella out from stuffing his wife’s stocking with ammo?

Extra Info: The First day of our hunt is June 4th. our 14th Anniversary.

Come-on guys

Where are the women on this forum? They should be able to make some suggestions.

In any event, if anyone has found something that makes sixteen hours in the same seat aboard a metal tube at forty thousand feet any more palatable, let us all know.:)

Nothing say's, " you ain't getting any" like travel curlers and a dollar store compass!

Well, I gave my wife a remodeled bathroom, @PHOENIX PHIL gave his wife a remodeled kitchen, and brand new luxury cars are quite common as well.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
