Very nice thank you for posting
Price no idea but it will be on higher end as the appear to be well looked after

Cem, where do you find these things? I suspect there are very few guys that can give you a reasoned opinion on what they are worth. Just out of curiosity, what is the dealer/seller asking for the pair?

The dealer is asking about 30 000 dollars for the Barretta and 20000 for the Ferlach .. these prices are subject to negotiation:)
To be honest I fell in love with the Barretta ..
The same old question pops in to my mind . What would I rather collect memories or guns? :))))

No idea on price but I would be cautious with an O/U rifle. It seems to be a much smaller group of collectors than the SxS crowd unless you are in Europe.

No clue on price, but just wanted to say very handsome!

Are these guns new? Is it a private seller or a dealer?

Are both 9.3x74?

Neither are worth anywhere near the $20k-$30k price.

Sodia is a nice maker and an Over under small bore double rifle on that action as photographed, I’m thinking $8000-$12,500.

The Beretta is a hidden pin sidekick, very nice. If also 9.3x74r I’m thinking $12,500-$16,500.

Things that lower a gun’s value: over/under, single triggers if present, 9.3x74 instead of .375 or larger, and the fact they aren’t from tier-1 makers AT THAT TIME. Beretta doubles today are more valuable today, in the 1960s they were not best guns and the collector market for them is soft. You can not compare a modern version to that one.

For example: a $90,000 modern beretta double rifle in .458 Winchester with single trigger in over/under configuration languished at the beretta gallery for years. It was sold to a dealer for between $28k-$32k unfired. I’ve seen it offered for years online from different dealers for $45k down to $33k.

A.) it’s a beretta and they aren’t famous for their double rifles, as nice as that best gun in 458 is.

B.) it’s over under

C.) it’s a rimless cartridge

D.) it has a single trigger

Just giving examples of what much better guns by the same maker are worth and why. A 1990s made best beretta is twice or three times as desirable as a 1960s beretta.

rookhawk thank you for the valuable information on the ferlach rifle.
the beretta is a 12 ga shotgun .the bodel is so3 EELL .it is a 2 barrel set .

Cem, I'm happy to see that rookhawk chimed in on this thread. He is one of the guys I thought qualified to give you a "reasoned" opinion on the value of these two guns.

@cem rona ergin

Im not much help on the Beretta, but value is really going to be influenced by the engraver, do you know who did the work?
I recently sold a ferlach single barrel stalking rifle, that was almost a twin for the one in the picture. it went for $3750, probably about 9-10K$ is reasonable on the gun

Beretta engraver is Landi .
And thx for the information..

I had a beretta S04 sidelock 12g that was similarly configured except your example has better engraving. (But inferior wood)

I sold it for $8000-$8500 cased with a set of Briley thin wall chokes. The blue book said at the tine they were worth about $5000 which is incorrect.

The dealer is totally ignorant at $30,000 for that shotgun. Like nearly 10x too high. The finest 12 gauges in the world sell for half that. I’ve seen best Holland’s in 12 gauge sell for a bit over $10,000. Hell, for $30,000 you can have a Purdey or Dickson 20 bore shotgun from the golden era.

The dealer needs to be struck in the head with a brick on his beretta price. It’s not within the realm of what is reasonable, then the price doubled again.

12 gauge shotguns are practically worthless, remember that always. 96% of al shotguns ever made are 12 gauge...unlimited supply. 1% were 16 gauge. 1% were 10 gauge. 1% were 20 gauge. The remaining 1% were 4 bore, 6 bore, 8 bore, 14 bore, 24 bore, 32 bore, .410, and 9mm.

Get the picture? Never pay a lot for a 12 gauge. Not ever. Never never ever.

By the way this ferlach is also a single barrel ..

The only thing that the dealer keeps saying is that this is a monoblock barrel .. no welding on the top piece ???
