Cinnamon Teal

Wow, what a beautiful duck! I've never seen one, thanks for sharing with us. BTW, oops, I almost forgot, fantastic work too. (y)(y)

Thank you

@gizmo found some of those pictures I mentioned earlier. Just to rub it in some more, I guess.

That is so awesome! If you dont mind I'd like to print a couple of these pictures and put them in my shop.
Don't mind at all. Wish they were a little better quality but it was a very old camera.

What a great looking Lab, love how alert he/she is. (y) I have a soft spot in my heart for yellow labs. We had to put to sleep our 13 year old Yellow Lab Savannah. Didn't meant to derail this post.

I have one right now just turning two and starting to make a good dog. He is my 7th lab.
But I have never and will never have one like the dog in this picture. Ruger was my hunting buddy for 9 great seasons. That dog would find him a place near the blind in the dark while I through out decoys and stare at the sky until I sent him to a bird or we packed up to leave. He saw birds before us most of the time and would do a little soft whine to let us know they were coming. We got lazy when we had him, no reason to watch for birds because he did it for us. He would also go under for cripples when they dove. I've not had another would dive with them, but he always got them on one or two tries. @Bill Bunn III and I had some awesome hunts with him.
He is buried under a big old oak 20 feet from where this picture was taken, it was one of our favorite spots.

Sorry for highjacking the post @gizmo, but the man asked me about my best dog.:E Shrug:

The cinnamon has me looking for one. If I could ever get one, think I'll call you and see about a mount with Green wing, Blue wing and Cinnamon together.

No worries buddy I'm all about ducks and dogs and very much enjoy the posts. Here is my big ole yellow hound. He's old now and long retired from hunting. I tried to run him on some quail last season (he never cared for water much and was a much better upland dog than waterfowl dog) but his hips started bothering him pretty quick. He's been like one of my kids and other than being overweight he's still in decent health but I know were on the down hill side these days and I cant hardly bare the thought of when the day comes.

No worries and I'm really sorry to hear about Savannah

Great looking dog. And @PARA45 and @gizmo they do become part of the family for sure.

That is one good looking boy, and he looks happy. LOL!!!!! Thank you Gizmo, it's never easy.

Savannah didn't like getting in the water, but boy she was one hell of a flusher. She did some remarkable retrieves in South Dakota. When she retrieved a pheasant, she would come to me very proudly and hand me the bird. Loved having feathers in her mouth. Hair on fire in the fields, and hand me another Margarita when she was at home. LOL!!!!!

Yes they do become part of the family.

I do not have any ducks in my house. I'll have to fix that real quick and in a hurry. Unfortunately no Cinnamon Teals here. :(

I have to laugh as I thought I had the only lab in the world that hated water, glad to know that I'm not the only one! If you want to do some waterfowling one of these years let me know. I've started offering a handful of duck, goose, crane, and quail combo packages during the seasons now.

Ha Ha! Nope you're not the only ones.
The yellow dog here is my Ruger at 10 months in his first season. The old stately chocolate dog who looks so proud of himself was not on the hunt because he refused to get in the water if the temp was below about 75F, and he would not pick up a bird if it was dipped in bacon.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
