Montana Rifle

Guster.
Ron Petty here , I am the new CEO of Montana Rifle and I want to fix this issue. We recently purchased the company form the Sipes, and I can assure you I have a can do, can fix attitude.
We currently have expanded and have 54 employees working 6 days now to address the concerns on deliveries- now down to approx. 12 weeks and moving to 3-4. As for your gun I will either fix it to your satisfaction or build you a new one. And you have the whole forum here to report on my progress!!
Give eme a call at 406-756-4867 or my personal cell 406-885-4678
Best Ron
ps working on customer service- that's all we have to stand on and we will get it right!!
I love my MRC 1999 in .338 RUM. When I was interested in ordering it in 2014, I inquired about a dealer in the Columbus OH area and not only were they helpful but made arrangements even before I ordered it. Then they told me it would be ten weeks and I received it in eight.
When I read some of these horror stories, I was surprised.
Ron, I hope your leadership can duplicate or exceed the experience I had when I order my next MRC.

Good kick off. I look forward to learning the result.
Good luck.

I'll just say I love it when CEO's visit forums like these to hear directly back from the consumers.

Ron, I wish you all the best. Quality Control may well be one the hardest things in the game.

PS: My '99 MRC is not the prettiest gal in the room but darned if she doesn't keep running with the best in terms of accuracy and reliability. In all fairness though, it was worked over by Jim Brockman and I did spend about 3 weeks slicking the action up with some Flitz on the rails for 20m every night. She groups in the 3/4" range and throws brass about 30 YARDS to the right. LOL!

Well, I reached out to Montana Rifle Company through an email. I'm interested in their response

You would have do something pretty special, for me to consider using MRC on next custom build.

I think that is a little rude! He is one of the new owners and yet he offered to fix or replace your gun when it was a problem of the previous owner. Sounds like a stand up guy to me. I understand you being pissed but hopefully whoever you dumped your gun on will read this forum and contact MRC.

Wow I guess! That seemed like a really stand up kind of response by the company's brand new boss. But obviously there are those who love to or even live to get on public forums, TV shows, youtube vids or any number of social media outlets and whine, moan and complain long past the short, useful life of such behavior.

WOW, love when people chirp without all the details...

Guster, I can understand your attitude and general feelings about the poor service you received from the "OLD" Montana rifle Co. BUT the new owners have made you more than a reasonable offer. Let them fix it. If the rifle comes back functioning as it should (even if it winds up being a new rifle) we'll all know that Ron Petty is a man of his word. If it is still "jacked up" well that's another story that can be dealt with at the appropriate time.

I responded on this and stand by my comments. The future of any company is bleak if customers spend te blasting bad news to the potential customers. I believe a company lives or dies by nits customer service. That said , you cant make everybody happy- we just got a 2013 375 HH in that has seen better days as a loaner rifle at a hunt outfitter , and the owner thinks we sh0uld completely refurb at our expense!!
Best to all, not only do I run the company I am a stock holder and a hunter!!

Compare this response to that of a well-known American double gun maker recently on this site. Night and day.

Great response and exactly the right attitude.

Have been considering a new rifle. Leaning more towards MRC now. Keep up the good work Ron

Had a nice email exchange with Dean about a month ago. Looking forward to a pair of 7x57 ASR in a year or so. LH for me, RH for my daughter.

Totally agree, class act. I would definitely do business with him.

@Montana Rifle Company - I corresponded with Dean prior to reading this thread. After reading it, I had all but given up on you guys and had started looking at other options. Your commitment to your customers has brought me back.

My in-laws live about halfway between Columbia Falls and Creston. Next time I'm up that way, it would be a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

I Rifle is made up of a bunch of components; to simplify, Lock Stock and Barrel. You can have the best components money can buy the Rifle is still only as good as the Smith who puts them all together.
