Also, you can check with the guide while you're trying to get a hunt booked. I've talked to several who are fine with it, including this site's owner (he guides for 2 different outfits in Namibia, in case you weren't aware). I've talked to several others who are fine with it. I'm not sure I'd want to risk an elephant with a 9.3, though plenty have been harvested with it.
For cats, it's more than fine as long as you don't use solids. In 250 gr, Swift, Barnes, Nosler, Norma, and Woodleigh are all probably excellent choices.
If I go over for buffalo, I'll work up loads for Swift 300 gr or Woodleigh 320 gr.
But like I said...when you're shopping for hunts, ask the guides. I've not had a conversation with a single one of them that wasn't perfectly cordial and professional. They all seem to be Old World Gentlemen.
