Even though as some know my flight from Atlanta to joburg was changed to Atlanta to London then to joburg then Namibia it was kinda a blessing. After a few hours of getting my rifles on the right path Me and my wife had about 5 hours which allowed us to tour London a bit. What a beautiful place!

The first day of the hunt we seen many animals but were unable to get a shot on a mature gemsbok male which I preferred. On my second day of the hunt I got this beautiful gemsbok at 230 yards. He dropped from the shot of my .375 HH then got back up and ran another 40 yards and never moved again!

Very nice gemsbok! Looking forward to the rest of your report.

Nice gemsbok, congrats! Look forward to more

On the third morning we headed out stalking up on 3 different kudu bulls. The first two were very wide bulls which I had wanted, but Jamy insisted they were just not old enough! So on we go. After spotting this kudu from way out standing on a mountain side we made a 3 hour stalk on him and decided he was a shooter. Although I originally wanted a wide bull, Jamy told me we would be crazy not to try to shoot this bull! He guessed him at 51”. We snuck up to about 100 yards from him as he was bedded down behind some brush when suddenly he got up. Jamy put the sticks up and the 375 did its job again! He measured 55” on both sides! I was so happy to get this magnificent animal!. After the pictures he called the trackers and skinners and they all came on the hillside to skin him and butcher him up so we could take him back to the trucks.

You had a great hunt and took some nice animals. Congrats

Next me and my wife along with one of the PH and his wife took a 7 hour trip to the coast to Swakopmund. We stayed at their house on the beach for a couple days. Tons of things to do in this town. Atv rides on the sand dunes, seal tours, hot air balloon rides, shopping etc....

Congrats, nice critters and thanks for sharing

You have taken some incredible trophies!

Congrats Travis. An incredible hunt with great trophies for sure. And I really like the time at the coast added on at the end.

The last two days we traveled up to Etosha national park. Staying in two different lodges in the Park seemed to be the best way to see most of the animals. No leopards. And We only seen one lion. It was a long but interesting 7 hour drive on dirt roads from Swakopmund to etosha. I no longer complain about the bumps and potholes in the roads in South Carolina!.
