Lion Hunt South Africa 2018

If only I could bring him home.
Yes Bob, I wish that also! But who knows what the future holds....in the meantime,
I have some outstanding non-export deals on Lion hunts for the USA guys.

Have you had anyone try to get an import permit to the USA since USFWS changed its procedures?
USFWS revoked all previous rulings on "enhancement findings" on lions in RSA, Zim, and Zambia since they lost the lawsuit to SCI on improper rulemaking regarding their suspension of imports from Zimbabwe.
USFWS now will make determinations for import permits on a case by case basis. So right now, no one can say they have importable lions to USA regardless of wild, managed wild or cbl. That will be determined on a case by case basis upon application for an import permit to the USFWS.

Greetings: What say you in regards to recent policy changes by the USF&WS in the US (thanks to Donald Trump's support of guns and hunting!)

"The U.S. government, in addition to Zambia and Zimbabwe, allows permits for wild lions and lions from managed areas in South Africa...." This is since late October of 2017....Can we take our trophies home? Can they be mounted and shipped to hunting friends' trophy rooms outside the US? Please advise. Asking for a friend...

I did not review all above posts...I see that Cliff? Tulpa above also addressed this issue! Loved your shows!!!

Summary of New Policy: "Rather than evaluate lion, elephant and bontebok trophies on a nation-by-nation basis, the agency now will consider imports of these animals from six African countries on case-by-case basis, as it already does with the majority of species hunted on the continent.

The six countries are Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. The new policy does not mean that all trophies will be automatically permitted, officials said. The applicants will have to meet the same conservation and sustainability requirements as before.

The decision was long sought by Safari Club International and the National Rifle Association, which had filed the lawsuit against the agency."

Sounds like a routine, CITES-type permitting process now, to me!

C.W. Richter you asked: Can they be mounted and shipped to hunting friends' trophy rooms outside the US? Please advise. Asking for a friend...
The answer is yes this can happen: providing the destined trophy room is in a country that allows CBL Trophy Imports.
We have successfully done this with a USA Hunter's Lion earlier this year. Get your friend to contact me on email or by phone and we'll take it from there
