This goose would love some green grass. He'll be waiting a while longer.

Beautiful pictures!

Is there a large quantity of hare where you took these pictures? Can you hunt them?

They can be hunted. Some areas have healthy populations.
These ones happen to come in to my bait station for wildlife photo purposes.

Very nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

Calgary - a city of more than a million - is overrun with those hares. They are fearless - they will watch you as they eat your tulip bulbs, and you need to get close than 6 feet before the decide to move off. But not far. They'll sit and wait for you to leave.

I live near downtown, and on a normal day can see a half dozen, just going back and forth to the car.

The only good thing is that they've brought the coyotes with them. My neighbour had a small but yappy dog . . . not anymore! Took this picture in my backyard . . .

@Hank2211 Apparently someone in your house is feeding the bait animals on your step!

I didn't take the picture of the pack of (6) Coyotes I have visiting on occasion in the winter.
For some reason they like venison bones.

I was actually happy to see him . . . He was wearing my Hat!

Gardeners typically hate the Hares.

We'll have to get you a bow and you can enjoy some Hasenpfeffer.

Might I suggest that you purchase a copy of "The Game Chef." Great recipes for hare in the book.

If that coyote was at my back door, he would be dispatched with 22.

Neighborhoods along the Elbow River or Fish Creek, often have visitations by bobcats.

There are also a few red fox in Calgary.

Every year we may expect some visits from black bears and/or mountain lions. Those often don't end well for those critters.

Any day now we will hear in the press about the morons who insist on walking dogs off leash near the coyote dens in some of the parks. The dogs usually lose, although F&W have been known to execute a few coyotes in the parks (mainly Nose Hill) at night.

Here in Colorado we had 5 cottontails in the front yard this morning. Found a bunch of rabbit hair in the backyard also this morning. We have a neighborhood owl and a Cooper’s hawk that help with the rabbit infestation.

That waxwing is lovely!
Not much into the geese. We have a couple hundred that fly over the House mornings and evenings going to feed and returning to the lake for the night. They often leave me presents on my truck as they fly over.

The "Forestry" has some other inhabitants that like to visit.
