It is beautifully balanced and an absolute joy to shoot. When I got it, it was partially refurbished. Unfortunately some of the “polishing” was a bit heavy handed and required some “undoing”, but it turned out pretty well in the end. Due to the work already done on it I ended up cold rust bluing everything, although I believe the hammers, side plates, receiver and underlever were probably color case hardened originally. Fortunately nobody seems to have monkeyed with the locks and it is nice and tight and square on face.
