So after all the fun clearing the crate on Monday in Atlanta, here is what I've decided for the trophy wall layout. Karl the kudu is in the foyer, Steve the Steenbok is on the mantle. The Mrs is ok with the kudu, but she's fighting me on Steve. Still no idea where the zebra, gemsbok, and blue wildebeest rugs are going. At least one in my office, maybe two. Mrs is really creeped out by the face on the zebra rug.

More pics. This is what you see when you walk in the front door. Karl the kudu with Steve the Steenbok in the background on the fireplace mantle. Steve's hold on that mantle is precarious, so I haven't removed the painting behind him just yet. Hoping the Mrs will forget he's there.

You got on that project quickly.
At least Steve blends with the foliage in the painting. Almost a diorama.

Sounds like you have a few bumps to iron out. Best of luck.

Looking good and thanks for sharing the pics!!

Nice. Steve looks at home.

looks great thanks for sharing. nice kudu!

I reckon you should put your foot down, she gets the shiny pillows you get the trophies. If it doesn’t work out you can always crash at my place.

Yeah, well, I was in Nashville for a couple days for work and Steve wasn’t on the mantle when I got home. He’s now on the top of my office credenza with Bob (the bobcat, obviously). I also have a Barbara the bobcat as well. #somanyissues

I call that the "struggle" at my house. Never pays to argue with "queen of the castle".

In my home, it’s more like the “capitulation”. <sigh>

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
