It is with sincere condolences that I bring to you the unfortunate passing of hunting legend Ian Goss.
Ian has seen many Professional Hunters and Outfitters qualify through his dedication and his presence will be sorowley missed.

R.I.P

My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP

Ian's contribution to the industry through his teaching is an incredible legacy.

There are plenty of "graduates" of his school on AH and I have hunted with some of the best PH's I have ever hunted with that were his graduates.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Condolences to the family and his friends.

Didn't know him, but like always it's sad to lose a fellow hunter. Just from the above comments it sounds like he did a lot for other PH's/hunters. Prayers and condolences to the family!

A BIG tree has been chopped out of the woods today ! Ian's legacy will prevail through the many quality PH's he trained .

We are saddened today .... but maybe should like the African Communities celebrate his life instead of only mourning his passing ......

Yes I too didn’t know the man but he sounds like one of the great ones in our sport. Condolences to his family and friends.

I, like some others didn't know the man, but as a fellow hunter I send my condolences and prayers to his family.

Oh yes...
I was at this academy, I passed, I travveld around the world to get to him.
After that, he invided me to his house and I stayed there for some days.
We hunt, shoot, trained martial arts..., it was in 2011 and it was great...

R.i.P. Ian.

Ian was a true legend in his field of teaching ph's. I remember the day I arrived at his school, nearly 20 years ago, you could hear his voice from miles away. I was so nervous of him, but realized it was more out of respect.

Ian's course was hard, I think only 3 out of 10 passed the course I was on, there were no short cuts.

I can honestly say, I don't think I would still be around if it wasn't for a lot of advice that Ian shared with me. I nearly got killed on an elephant hunt, had to shoot two at point blank range, I so badly wanted to turn and run, but it was as though Ian was sitting on my shoulder saying "if you run, you die".. Those words have always stuck in my mind.

Ian and myself would often discuss my exploits in Mozambique, I am going to miss our chats.

R.I.P my friend, we will keep your hunting legacy alive.

Prayers ...

RIP Mr. Goss
