Whisky

Caol Ila 12 years, an Islay single malt...

7 years Flor de Caña from Nicaragua.

That’s another very nice rum.

Pairs wonderfully with a good oily, dark cigar from the Esteli Nicaragua

Brought some Appleton Rum back from Jamaica. I'm no connoisseur, but it was good. But that was almost 20 years ago.

We drink Pendleton Whisky at my house. Good Canadian that does the trick. Nice and smooth.

This year they came out with a limited run 20 yr old. Can’t wait to try it.

KENTUCKY ALL THE WAY. IF JIM BEAM BLACK LABEL HAD A CORK INSTEAD OF A CAP IT WOULD BE A PREMIUM BOTTLE. EAGLE RARE FOR THE HOLIDAYS.
CHEERS!!

I am a rum guy. I like Myers Dark but when I went to SA I tried Red Heart Rum and really like it. You cannot buy it here in the USA. I brought one bottle back in 1013 but in 2017 I brought back 5. I save it for special times.............like Xmas and new years.
One day I will open a bottle of Corn Liquor I bought while in college because I liked the jug it came in. It is 42 years old now.

I love me some Myers!! I'm pretty sure during a summer in my younger years by BAC level just read Myers!

Back to the topic at hand...I prefer Blanton's and will slum it with some Angels Envy. That a good cigar, best time ever!

I bought my father a bottle of Glenmorangie for Christmas, as he is staying with us I'll get to sample a bit.

I just received a rather large bottle of Gray Goose. I'm rather fond of it on the rocks with lime. But no limes to be found. So Glenlivet 18 it is in front of the fire. With my wife and Christmas Tree. WITCH ARE BOTH PRE-LIT LOL.

I'm with Nyati, Cardhu anytime. As my long gone father used to say, " Scotch is good for everything from coughs and colds to chappy assholes".

Crown Royal northern harvest Canadian Rye for me.

For those that have the Scotch/Whiskey/Whisky that understand a good “wee nip” and the phrase “where the fires of hell meet the tears of heaven”....one line only...Laguvulin 16yr Distiller’s Edition....and in the immortal line line of my 7 year old daughter....”Boooom yaaaaa!!!!!”....still have to bottle from 2009.

Enjoy your “wee nip” whatever it maybe.

R.

Lagavulin or Macallan for me

Whistle Pig 10yr Rye in an Old Fashion and Nolets Gin either French 75 or Gimlet

Options are limited over here in Korea, so we're drinking Royal Salute 21 y/o

EAGLE RARE

Yummy

I believe the Koreans have a drink they put in a teapot with a fruit juice. It is poured into small glasses and drunk with friends. Good fun. And really the secret to all good drinks is the company you keep, or the time your spend.

I have been getting into my Jap whiskies as well and they are might fine.

I use to drink nothing but single malts neat with a water back. As I have gotten older (lucky me to have made it this far!) I get heartburn from scotch. Bummer because I did enjoy it so! Now I prefer two glasses of a red blend wine nightly.
I mostly preferred the less smoky highland single malts except when I had a good heavy grilled fillet of elk, or venison, or antelope, or bear rump, or even (heaven forbid!) beef!

Same here Ridgewalker. I got such a burn from the stomach acid that I don’t drink alcohol at all now. Curses as I really like a good whiskey.
We sure have the same tastes in scotch whiskey and food!
I hope you like Australian buffalo when you visit.

I'm primarily a red wine drinker, but when I do have a scotch I like Jura Superstition. And although it is sacrilegious to a purist, I pour it over a glass full of ice.
