Who is going where in 2018 or hoping to make plans for 2018

Going back to East Cape with the wife this trip think I have her talked into taking a couple of her own Black Wildebeest, Warthog, and I will look for Sprinbuck Slam, Red Hartebeest, Steenbok, w.ill always be on the lookout for a 16" + Bushbuck lol, Baboon, and maybe another Zebra going to mix it up with bow/rifle combo Apr 20-May 1. And maybe even a Bushpig
 
Buffalo cow with PawPrint on 1 July. Hope to get a combo quail/pheasant hunt in the fall, but will be moving to Arkansas in October, so we will see! Cataract surgery in the spring will most likely prevent me from getting back to Alaska for Cal Pappas' Double Gun Shoot in May to play with other shooters really big side by sides!
 
I will se you for the AH group hunt with Pawprint Safaris in July!
 
Eastern cape in June with @Umlilo Safaris for PG, looking for nyala, gemsbuck, bushbuck, giraffe, and whatever else looks good.

Hopefully an elk hunt in the fall as this will be our first season back in the USA in a while
 
Varmint hunting Jan/Feb/March
SA in late March for my first hunt in Africa
Axis hunting this Spring, probably around April or May
Whitetail in the fall

2018 is a transition year for me. After almost 6 years living and working in Lagos, Nigeria, I am transferring to Houston. I contemplated retiring, but will work another year or two or three. I have a deposit down with Bald Mountain Outfitters in Pinedale, Wy and I have 16 preference point for moose. If I do draw, I will likely try to do an antelope hunt also. Will see if I get lucky and draw. If not, will go to Plan B, as soon as I figure out what Plan B is. Maybe an Aoudad hunt in West Texas. My youngest daughter has been bugging me about going back to the eastern cape and doing another PG hunt with @Game 4 Africa Safaris, but that will likely have to wait until 2019.
 
My wife is undergoing chemotherapy, so no plans for 2018.

But, being an optimist, who knows, maybe a short late season hunt somewhere in Africa...
 
Barring any unforeseen calamities, I will be making my second trip to Africa...this time the Eastern Cape with @KMG Hunting Safaris to hunt Kudu, Bushbuck, Nyala, Waterbuck, Springbok and Blesbok. This will be my second attempt at Mr. Grey Ghost. Hopefully this time I'll come out on top!
 
I have a couple of days pheasant shooting in January. Then I will be off to Namibia @Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris in February for my second trip taking both my two children this time 16 and 14 this will be my daughters first African trip. Then I have a trip with @KMG Hunting Safaris in September after buffalo. when I return I may pop to Sweden in October to hunt moose with friends for a week. in between this trips I will chase a few fallow around and perhaps fit in some work but I do find working overrated.

She will be in our thoughts and we will be hoping she does well enough you can make it to Africa.
