Welcome to AH. As stated you will get lots of offers for the hunt of your dreams. Even though you stated that a "package" hunt was not what you wanted, you may find one that is a lot cheaper than a "roll your own." Good luck, let us know how you make out.

Hi Joe, is this your first safari? If so it's a magical experience. Do your homework and take your time to decide who fits your budget and needs. I just hunted with KMG safaris several weeks ago and can tell you they were outstanding in everyway. There are lot's of great outfits here! Enjoy the planning stages.

You would be able to find a lot of information on this Forum to assist you in the planning process.
Enjoy the planning phase since it forms a huge important and FUN part of your safari.
Of course you could hunt on the daily rate and then add trophies.
