What's the saying,,from blood thirsty youngster to quiet conservationist...most real hunters have a lightbulb moment when they realise what it's all about, ethical hunting for a real purpose such as survival or proper management and conservation of a biodiverse environment...not generating revenue and local employment or enjoying a holiday at the expense of an environment for idiots trying to relive the past romance of Africa from the back of a pick up whilst their guides are rolling their eyes but swallowing their pride because they need the money.....and of course, yes, this isn't just about africa, this happens all over the world, very very much local to my home country.
But not everyone will have that lightbulb moment that animals should not be killed for sport, but for a true purpose that benefits the herd, species and environment if it isn't for survival purposes,,,in a manner which if it is done, is a real challenge, ethical, and for some Species, a dangerous encounter. With honour.. Not paying for a holiday to sit nice and cosy until a shot at a trophy presents itself, a shot at a beast that should not be removed from the herd, and then celebrated as if it was done as some sort of great achievement....
