Window or aisle seat?

I've only made the trip once. I elected for an aisle seat, thinking I could get up and move around easier. The drawback was constantly getting bumped and banged as everyone else walked by. Even got smacked in the head as ladies threw Thier purses over Thier shoulder while they were putting things into or taking them out of the overhead. When I make the flight on June 17, I'm going to find out if a window seat is better.

My choice is window for sleeping, aisle for getting up and moving around, etc. So it kind of depends on which direction you are going and how much you need / want to move around.

I take the window seat for every trip after my travel agent put me by the aisle to continue to get beat up during the flight as people walk by during the night.
Many "ladies" on long haul and domestic flights have carry on bags that should be checked. So if you have an aisle seat, you do have watch out for them since most of them IMO can't handle the bags they carry on, particularly in the overheads. But on long hauls I prefer the aisle to get up and move around. Short flights I prefer the window. I flew to and from Alaska last week on United. It appeared, at least on that flight that the airline was enforcing the carry on size and number rules....which they should.

I'll take a aisle seat just for the reason that I can get up and do what ever I need to do anytime that I want pretty much. I have never had a problem with people storing their junk in the overheads, but it is something that you just have to watch. On my next trip I'm going to look at one of the center seats and see if I can manage to get it all by myself.

If you opt for an aisle seat, the center section is a good choice (seats D or F). The logic being you only have one person that might crawl over you and that the person in the center seat can get up and exit either way. You won't miss much by not having a window from a view standpoint.

Window, time seems to pass a little faster when there is something to look at besides the back of the seat in front of you

Window seat up front in B-class really make to time pass faster. Unfortunately, it makes the $$ pass much faster too!

They both have their merits, but I have always chosen aisle. I can't sleep on a plane anyway, so someone bumping into me during the flight doesn't really bother me much. Plus I do like the freedom to get up and move around.
I missed my flight one time coming back from JNB and had to reschedule. Delta was nice enough to reschedule for $200, but stuck me in a middle seat. Most miserable 16 hours of my life! I would never choose that on purpose!

I like bulkhead window it's hard to get. I'm stuck in a middle seat for my Appt with Mr Spots next month because I didn't plan it out that far in advance. I did get premium economy though and it's worth it!
The Delta flight has become very popular and expensive especially Business class. It's the most time efficient way to get to Africa.

So, I interpret this that if you can sleep, get the window. If you can't sleep and/or like to move around, get the aisle. Makes sense to me, so I'm in a middle/cheap seat...

The only drawback to premium economy bulkhead is everyone standing in front of you waiting for the bathroom. Definitely take the window if you have narrow shoulders.

I'm glad I bought my tickets in January because I have only watched prices go higher for the most part, especially Delta.
