HELP NEEDED To Find Scott van Zyl Gone Missing In Zimbabwe

Dear Daisy and Driekie,
Dankie vir jou boodskap. Ek staan saam met julle in my hart.
Ek en Scotty het baie keer Olifante gejag in Botswana oor die jare.
Sterkte, groete en liefde.
Dave

Thanks uncle Dave and everyone still hoping and praying for Scott and his family. It's a sad sad story. Still hoping for Scott to be found. Love to all of you. Driekie

An update from @Salome de Villiers.

Good day everyone, the search for Scott still continues today.

For those who missed update #11 & 12 we are currently assigning the funds to a third party to manage the withdrawals and keep good accounting thereof, so in this process of changes I temporarily lost access to post directly on gofundme, I will give a detailed report on this in due time and the details will also be profided on this gofundme campaign. I do have complete access to this account again so I'll be sure to post any future updates on here again.

What was going on with the leopard? Were they hunting one with a client, tracking one that was wounded...? Just wondering.

Man I hope this turns out well. I think about this situation often during the day. Theories' anyone? Poachers? predator?

Are there Croc's in the Limpopo river? Hopefully it wasn't an encounter with a predator!

That's my worry too. What about lion?

I think that there would be blood somewhere. And they couldn't find anything?? This is a mystery for as. Then there must be signs of struggling or something??

UPDATE REGARDS TO THE SEARCH & RESCUE FUND:

For the sake of transparency the following post will explain the various role players and individuals involved in the fund raising project on the search & rescue effort.

Myself, Salome de Villiers started this campaign on behalf of the Limpopo Hunters Liason Forum (LHLF) when we realised what the mounting costs would be for all the aircraft and fuel expenses to keep the search going. All individuals mentioned below are also friends with Scott van Zyl & his family.

Because of the overwhelming response to this fundraiser we have decided to involve a third party in the handling of the funds and to ensure that a neutral individual withdraw the funds on our behalf in the United States and then to transfer the funds to a company dealing with foreign exchange. This company is called Inter Africa LLC of which Mr. Gary Pleasants from Virginia is directly involved with. Because of the way we've setup te account, the funds will be transfered into Mr. Gary Pleasant's personal account and from there through Inter Africa LLC be transfered directly into the account of the Limpopo Hunters Liason Forum. Between Mr. Gary Pleasants in the United States and Melani van der Merwe in South Africa, both directly involved with Inter Africa LLC, the handling and responsibility of the funds raised and withdrawn will be documented and a full audit report will be handed to the LHLF Exco. This is all in the effort to ensure that full transparency and a fully documented process will be followed and reported on to the LHLF Exco.

All accounts and expenses will be handled and documented by the LHLF bookkeepers. Any queries regarding the allocation of funds can be sent to secretary@limpopohunters.co.za

I, Salome de Villiers will not have any direct access to the funds based on the above decision and the fact that we decided to get an independent company, Inter Africa LLC involved to ensure the funds gets withdrawn and transferred correctly and from there the LHLF accountants has the responsibility for the funds.

Smart move on money. Neutralize any potential pitfalls. In business we always say if someone doesn't need access to the bank, don't give it to them. Help honest people remain honest. Don't tempt..... well done guys. Now bring the man home.

We wouldn't know. It's a mystery.....

Please let Sure, Abel and Pieter know I'm praying they find Scott and bring him home. I was at SS Pro almost exactly a year ago and they are like family

As hunters, ourselves, our focus is, perhaps naturally, drawn to dangerous animals. In my opinion, however, and playing the odds, non-animal related dangers are much more important. In Scott's case, because his packs were found on the banks of the Limpopo, itself [assuming that we, as readers, have the important information], the River, itself, should be the focus of attention.

I haven't read the condition of the Limpopo River at the point where Scott's packs were found. I know the River was very high about one month earlier, but don't know if the river was still high at the time of Scott's disappearance. I know nothing of the condition of the river where Scott's packs were located. Also, we've been exposed to some divergent information. One very questionable report has it that Scott's shoes were found close to his packs. Another has it that footprints [Shod? Unshod?] were found up to the river edge. Another rumor has it that human footprints were found on the S.A. side. Rumors. Most of the most recent stuff that I've read [S.A. newspapers] states that all sign of Scott stops at the river edge.

In any event, with Abel and Marcel involved in the search, Scott's chances are maximized. These guys are determination with a capital 'D'.

God. Speed

Is it possible he was picked up by watercraft and taken up/down river?
