Soooo you got a new President...

Does anyone really believe that a man with the wealth, assets and business dealings that POTUS has that you cant in some way tie him to just about every developed country on the planet and most global fortune 200 firms as well (all of the ones that are not US firms) if you do even a little digging? Surely we are not all that naive..

Having a business relationship with a bank, or a law office, or an accountancy firm, etc in China, Russia, Venezuela, etc (countries that arent exactly known for being friendly with the US) should be EXPECTED.. if he or his firm in any way, shape, or form ever considered doing business somewhere outside of the US in any capacity at all it shouldnt be surprising that he is connected to some degree...Having political connections at the local, regional, and national level should be EXPECTED as well..

6 of the 10 largest companies in the US (Fortune 100) all have significant presence in Russia.. the only exceptions are Walmart (#1), Berkshire Hathaway (#4), CVS Health (#7), and General Motors (#8).. that said GM was in Russia for a LONG time, and is now considering going back.. I would expect by 2018 there will only be 3 companies on the list..

ALL of those companies senior executives have business relationships, political contacts, etc in Russia...

The vast majority of our senior political officials (both elected and appointed) have extensive contacts throughout Russia...

And you expect POTUS to be different?

Russia has the 6th largest economy on the planet, holds 30% of the worlds natural resources, has the 3rd highest graduation rate of scientists and engineers among all countries, and has the 8th largest concentration of tech companies on earth...

But we are all surprised that a guy that has made huge investments in dozens of countries ranging from Uruguay to the UK over the span of almost 50 years that he has been doing international business might be somehow involved with some Russians too?

That makes him wrong how?

Trump said "I have zero investments in Russia". Until someone proves otherwise, I will believe that statement to be true.

He didnt say "I dont have any Russian friends" or "I've never spoken with Russian politicians" or "Ive never had any business dealings in Russia or with any Russians".. if he said that, I'd automatically suspect a lie..

Personally I dont buy anything that opposing politicians and the media dole out as "news".. they are all full of manure.. when Obama was in office the first six months was full of birther stories and continued accusations about relationships with domestic terrorists, radical activists, ties to islam/terror, etc..etc.. how much of that actually ever got PROVEN? (Im not asking if you believe it or not.. Im asking how much hard physical evidence was ever brought forward to confirm or deny any of the charges the media, Tea Party, etc brought forward?)...

Now the extreme left and the media want to talk about Russia, whether or not Ivanka should sell clothes, and a host of other nonsensical garbage...

I think we'd all be better served by waiting for actual FACTS to come forward before decisions are made as to wrong doing (or lack of it).. and focus our time and energy on problems we all agree exist, but cant agree on solutions for (terrorism, healthcare, the economy, unemployment, infrastructure, etc..)..

Here in the USA (perhaps in other countries as well?), each time a new President is elected, (including re-elected), the loosing candidate's party always seems to suffer various members, that evidently enjoy wringing their hands over various types of scandalous conspiracy theories.
The Capitalists did it during those long Clinton / Obama years and The Socialists are doing it now.
One of my Anchorage friends insists that Michelle Obama is really a man and the former royal brats were rented or borrowed.
When he gets like that, I tell him to just relax and drink his beer, because even if the First Lady was really a dude, at least none of them vandalized the Whitehouse computers with Super Glue, this time.

At the moment, some left wing folks here in the USA are fussing that Trump has some under-the-table connection with Russia and /or that the Russians somehow rigged the election for him.
If I were a Russian dictator, Trump is the last person I'd want in control of any super power, USA or otherwise.
I would rather want one who gives new fighter jets to Egypt like Barry O. or, some 2nd Amendment Hater like Billary C. in place.
One thing I can promise you is that no Russian told me to vote for The Trumpster, I voted for him without any foreign influence at all.

So anyway, try to get over the shock that the race has been run and somebody else's pony won by a nose.
Likewise, for all USA sore losers, yesterday's, today's and tomorrow's (especially in just under 4 years from now), you should stop with the conspiracy theory stuff, it only makes you seem as if you've been using street drugs (or, perhaps you need to start using them).

The takeaway from the leaked 05 tax returns is he paid 5 million dollars in regular federal income tax and 2 million in self employed tax. That's in the 5% tax bracket. The rest comes via the Alternative Minimum tax, a tax Trump is vowing to get rid of.

Trump wanting to get rid of a tax that in 2005 would have given him 31 million dollars is not fake news and it's not something that should be taken lightly. Using the office of the President to personally save you tens of millions of dollars each year is not what this office is for. That's the takeaway from just the first two pages.

He is a trainwreck and eventually will be impeached.

Don't you know by now that the DNC's criteria for impeachment includes any President actually enforcing federal law, delivering on campaign promises, promoting the ideology of America first, and expecting elected officials to be true to their office and constituency ...?
