Sorry for the thread title but thought "old timers" would get the right audience's attention.

I have a lovely 6-10x hertel & reuss "B. Nickel" scope with claw mounts for a custom rifle, circa 1957. It is not letting through much light, has a green cast to the light, and I see the exit lens is delaminating on the edges although it does not appear in the sight picture.

I'd like to have:

A.) Scope cleaned thoroughly internally

B.) Lubrication as appropriate

C.) Lens relaminated

D.) Bonus round - Can modern coatings or other enhancements be done to improve upon original clarity and light transmission?

Is there someone in the USA that is competent to do this work?

Unable to help you with that one- Mr. Krumhansel in Ashland, OR was well qualified- I had him overhaul scopes and binoculars and he did an outstanding job on them but unfortunately he passed away about twenty years ago and I've yet to meet anyone that I considered his equal. :(

L&K scope service details on the web call and check w them

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
