As I plan a return trip to SA, I am considering what rifles to bring. I am Leabing towards a .375 for the versatility. The rub is that I am a lefty. I have looked at a CZ, but wanted to check here to see if there were other/better options.

If anyone has a left-handed .375 they are considering selling, please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

Another option is Montana Rifle (I have a CZ). The thing is hate about CZ is that they crank up the price significantly, just because they can... Makes Montana worth looking at to me....

You can very occasionally find a iswd model 70 in left hand and Ruger makes a left hand 375 if you're OK with Ruger and not H&H (talking new rifle).

No matter what you go with give yourself plenty of time before the hunt in case the rifle doesn't perform perfectly straight out of the box.

Good luck!

I know of a magnificent LH .416 Rigby ,Dakota with spectacular wood for sale in South Africa , this rifle has never been hunted with .

Patton63,

I am left handed, but right eye dominate so I shoot right handed. I have a son-in-law that is left handed and shoots left handed. I recently bought him a Ruger in 300 WM for a little over $400 on Gunbroker. There are lots of deals to be had on left handed bolt action rifles. If you are interested in a 375 Ruger, you can probably get one for $600-$800. Just type in "left handed" or "left hand" in the search and then sort on "bolt action rifles". After that, you can sort on caliber.

Have you looked at a SAKO Left Hand Hunter (375 H&H)? You might find a used one on Gun broker, etc. It's a little light at 7 3/4 pounds, you will gain some weight with a scope and SAKO rings & bases.

Not wanting to ignite a fire over controlled feed versus push feed, but my primary left handed bolt rifle for the past 22 years has been an a-bolt stainless stalker in 7mm R.E.M. magnum. It's been to Africa twice for plains game. I bought a 375 h and h magnum browning a bolt stainless stalker three years ago for under 950 dollars. It feels and shoulders and cycles like my everyday whitetail rifle. I decided familiarity was more important than control feed. Just my two cents. Plan on using it next summer in RSA.

A Bolts are great rifles , mine shoot MOA all day long with factory ammo .

I honestly don't think I realized that Browning made a left hand 375. I'd use that rifle in a heartbeat for buffalo.

I think the gentlemen above gave good advice, a Remington, Ruger, or Browning would be a good choice. Either may feed better than the CZ as from the factory, and probably at 1/2 the price. The CZ is also very heavy IMO.

IMHO , if I was looking for a rifle in .375 to bring on Safari in LH ,I would save hunting money and purchase either a Ruger Guide Gun in .375 Ruger or a Browning A Bolt in 375 h&h , both will adequately do the job .

Rather put the extra cash into more trophies.

Agree totally! Look at that place that 700xcr listed, cdnnsports.com. I have never heard of that place, but appears to be a large sporting goods place in central Texas. The have left handed 375 Ruger Africans (wood stock, blued 23 inch barrel) or 375 Ruger Alaskans (laminated stock, 20 inch stainless) for $599. These are the older models, pre guide gun, and IMHO a more classic looking rifle when compared to the guide gun. It's the same action and barrel either way. At $599, these are great value for a solid rifle.

How is the search going? Have you found your rifle or are you still looking? If you are still looking I would highly suggest the Browning Abolt for a lefty. I found one at a super deal last year and love it! Down loaded it for whitetail this past season and it performed beautifully. Dropped at the shot and didn't twitch

Check out the Left handed 378 weatherby's, Along with the other left handed weatherby calibers on gunbroker, almost always cheaper than the right hand versions, I have a left handed daughter,
That follows them Daily 1- Weatherby Mark V LH .378 Wby Mag
Beautiful like new Weatherby .378 with Pentax 3X9 scope and muzzle break. Made in Japan with incredible stock you expect from Weatherby. This gun performed perfectly taking down 3 cape buffalo and a lion. I am only selling because it is unlikely I will be returning to Africa in pursuit of the Big 5. Someone else deserves the opportunity to experience this wonderful gun. 1.500.00, on gun broker right now, there are also several others others

Look under weatherby then the caliber you Like. they are not listed all the time under left hand check the items out carefully and read thru them you will be surprised,

GOOD LUCK........

The problem with Weatherby is the cost of ammo, as well as what you pay in additional unnecessary recoil. Browning Abolt made in Japan as well btw

Hi I have a heym .375 in left hand. But I am based in the uk. Not sure what would be involved in exporting it
