Little solder....little duct tape....no problem!!

one of my fears when using a chrony and another person takes a shot .

Did you recover the bullet. Solid or Expanding? We need to know if it performed properly.

Been there....done that. Easy fix.......just use your credit card!;)

I watched a young guy do this to a borrowed chrony on his first shot.

Does it still work? :ROFLMAO:

Duh... It's obvious that the battery is missing!!:ROFLMAO:

Looks like a Dead Center shot, pretty good shooting I'd say

Ha Ha, its never happened to me but I've always wondered when the day will come..... So as an Engineer would say... once the smoke comes out of it you cant put the smoke back

Looks good to me, nice straight wound channel, good internal damage, no fragmentation so it looks like the bullet held together perfectly...
only question is hows the taxidermist going to sort out that exit wound?
maybe consider a shoulder mount instead of a full mount

was it drt , or did you need to call in the tracker ?

not if I had my glasses on

It got done real good didn't it! Mounted on my wall of shame! I thought it was a great shot. Bullet was 69gr Sierra MK doing about 2800fps out of an AR. Didn't have to track it. It just took a couple of steps backward and fell over. Probably the best shot of the day! That shot cost $100 CDN.
After about 5000rds or so you know eventually you gonna screw one up!

I did the same thing but with an airgun, didn't make it through the steel. It certainly makes me double and triple check when using the chrony now
