Any thoughts on what HEYM new rifle is?

I was at the shoot where this video was taken and got to fondle and shoot the new rifle. we were asked not to take pictures or talk about the new rifle until it officially released so ive kept my yap shut.

seeing as this video is out, i can tell you the new rifle handles and shoots like a dream with lines far more British then Heym's previous offerings. even the more basic engraving patterns are quite stunning. I will be ordering one for myself in 500 NE shortly.

from what I understand they haven't completely fixed prices yet.

Lucky you matt! Do you know what calibers they will be offering this new line in? When was the shoot?
 
it was back in September, it was a semi-competitive shoot limited to maybe two dozen people. i cant say for sure what calibers they are offering the rifle in but i know the display rifle at the shoot was a 450/400 NE 3" and they are going to make one for me in 500 NE 3".

Phil You're the man, the wait is finally over! ;) From their FB page they call it the HEYM Model 89B, in the white. Wish they would show more to get more of the proportions and details. Also specs...

Here is in comparison to their current double 80 B.

Just noticed HEYM USA has a new website up.
 
Pretty sweet looking DR. But not thinking this will be a sub $15K rifle, perhaps I'm wrong.
 
I'm not on Facebook but when I did a search on Heym last night this was second in line.
 
looks like Heym let the cat outa the bag.

that rifle looks like its probably the 450/400 NE that was at the shoot. I might as well spill the beans a bit about pricing since they've released photos. the rifle in the picture (if its the same gun) was quoted to us at around $26,000-$26,500, this rifle had "grade 2" engraving and exhibition grade wood. my own personal rifle was quoted to me at around $24,500 (similar rifle but without upgraded wood). we were told the model 88b will still be offered as the "PH" line for a more "affordable" rifle.

were you on the jungle juice by any chance?:whistle:..... its engraved on top of chambers and on sides.........think it was first thing i noticed ;)

My information was four months prior to the Heym shoot, and that is the price range I was quoted as was most likely. Was also told that the original target was a 20k threshold, but I doubt a plain Jane model would even make that. Probably why they have decided to maintain 88B PH production.
