Mrs Cape Cobra. She displayed beautifully for us, for about 10 minutes......such a great looking snake!

A black Momba! I hate snakes and wish this thing was dead!

Here is a Gaboon Adder that I came across in a Eucalyptus plantation in the Mtunzini area, Zululand. A stunning snake to see in the wild and an exceptionally rare encounter.

Just look how well camoflaged the head is. It's about the size of the palm of my hand.

The snake was an estamted 1m long and easily as thick as my arm.

A big +1 on that!

A morbid fascination with that which scares the hell out of us. Irrational or not, we just had to look.

I have seen one, count it one, snake track in all my time in Africa and I am quite happy with the result.

Great picture of the Cobra and the viper by the way.

I've had many encounters with rattlesnakes here in Arizona. One rattler struck at me, and missed sinking it's fangs into my hand by a fraction of an inch. I almost had to change my diaper.

A rattlesnake will mess you up........a Mamba will kill you.

I would rather take on a wounded Leopard bare handed. Plastic surgery is a more attractive proposition, then a plane ride home in a metal box.

I must admit, those deadly snakes do have a sinister beauty about them.

I caught this male 5' coachwhip in one of my barns a few years ago. I relocated him to around one of my lakes. It's funny, I used to be terrified of snakes but I love them now. I really enjoy watching them and they don't bother me now. I've got a video of a 6' timber rattler going underneith me while bow hunting. If I knew how to post a video I would. He was beautiful.

The last snake I tried to catch years ago, was a 5' Bull snake. That snake was just mean and nasty.
