Im posting this in the Hunting Afrika forum; but feel free to include other places and maybe game that isnt available anymore. For me it used to be the BIG FIVE, and it still is; but I have a few others.

Id love to hunt Tiger from an elephant (and be packing a Howdah pistol). Im still undecided about Hippo; but if I do it will be on land at close range.

Id love to do a big bear hunt on Kodiak Island. A Polar Bear hunt sounds cool; but maybe its really too cold for my taste.

Here in the States a Mountain Lion hunt on horseback is another one that sounds cool. Maybe head south for a Jaguar?

....but most important I want to hunt with "family". My best hunting trips have been with my close friends and family. I have fond memories of leaning against a tree with my dad, talking too loud and sharpening a knife while we were deer hunting. As you might have guessed we never saw a deer but we had a great hunt for sure. Last year my buddy and I drove from Pennsylvania to south Texas to hunt Wild Boar. We were like college kids on a road trip. We drove until we couldnt drive anymore each day, stayed in cheap hotels, and made sure we stopped at every gun shop we passed. We "solved" all the world problems and laughed like kids. I hardly remember the hunt; but I do remember use bursting out in laughter when my rifle went "click" on a big Boar because I forgot to chamber a round after we got in the blind. What a BLAST. My honeymoon is next month, my bride and I are headed to RSA for a lion hunt with KMG Safaris. When we get back Im taking my son on his first Wild Boar hunt. Ive had two custom rifles made for us.

Helicopter hog hunt, death from above. I'd appreciate hearing from those who have done it

I've got a list that is much more extensive than this, but these are the tops. I'm hoping to cross one or two of these off the list in the next 2-3 years.

Cape Buffalo
Alaskan/Yukon Moose
Kodiak Brown Bear
Lord Derby Eland
Elephant

Leopard, Brown Bear, Lion, Alaskan Moose, Mountain Goat, Lord Derby Eland, Bongo.... Sorry couldn't pick just one or rwo

Coues Deer, Axis Deer, Sitka Blacktail Deer, Black buck, Kudu, Eland, and Gemsbok.

And A Thompson Gazelle.

Alligator, bison, javelina, and moose in North America

Abroad, one hunt of any kind in Europe, a hunt in Mexico for brockett or one of the tropical whitetail sub species and the list goes on

Leopard, Elephant (complete the Big Five), Kodiak Brown Bear, and mostly more hunting with my kids as the start getting old enough.

By the way, helicopter hog hunting is a blast. Lots of fun in the air and hard to describe how "manly" it feels to jump off of a freshly landed chopper with an AR strapped across your chest after just flying around for a few hours shooting pigs from the sky. (y)

Abroad, one hunt of any kind in Europe, [/QUOTE]

Hunted Poland last month, Roe (Rhe) deer and boar - never saw a Boar, took some nice bucks.

bison and brown bear are pretty high on the list for me right now.. Really hoping to get at least one of them in this next year if not both..

If I could only have one
Cape Buffalo
If I could have it all then add
Gemsbock
Mountain Zebra
Warthog

Spots then Hippo! Some small plains game still needed.

mountain goat
cape buffalo
elk- (hunting this fall, hope to get)
moose
caribou

African animals?
buff
Sable
eland

Top of the bucket list

Grand Slam North American sheep

Big Five (I have 2 already).

Then I got a bunch of stuff from Marlin, to grouse, to Chamois. So much to hunt so little time.

... So much to hunt so little time.

You need to get busy.

After several revisions, I had the good sense to write mine in pencil. Makes revisions a lot easier. Right now I'm down to a nice Rocky Mountain Elk

Oh there is a plan, and I am working on it (2 weeks till my tuskless) but sheep hunting and dangerous game hunting is a time and money consuming effort, both of which limit the pace that I can accomplish said goals. What is cool is do not erase one after you do it, just cross it off, it is pretty cool is see how much you have done over the course of a decade.

Oh no, don't erase the ones you achieve.

And all this time I thought you were one of them High Rollers and money was no object.

Lol, I wish!!! People have gotten some good deals on stuff on craiglist when I need hunting money.

Though that is getting harder to do because my wife won't let me sell furniture, no matter how hard I try to convince her we dont need a sofa, or a diner room table, or dishes...

Actually I don't need to eat either and AC is overrated. But apparently I'm the only one who thinks so.

LOL. So why should be any different from the rest of us?

Food is nothing more than a bad habit. Any doctor will tell you: "If it tastes good it's got to be bad for you." Alcohol on the other hand? I know a lot more old drunks than I know old doctors!
