Cruiser Safaris 2016
Para45 you are a gentleman.
Thanks for the help.
Past the thread negatives, here are the pics of my animals,
Sarel DuPlessis was the only reason I was successful.
That guy has eyes like a hawk and can hear like a vulture!
I was not shooting well even after a lot of practice and hand loads.
Missed 4 good shots.
I could not hold the gun still on the sticks.
Dropped back to the model 70 in .270 and went better.
In all honesty Pieter had me taken to where he knew a good kudu might be.
I am grateful for that.
Awesome HUNTING experience.
Being my last rodeo, Sarel made it happen. Shortage of breath was due to a 100% blocked artery in the back of my heart called the "widow maker."
So thankful that I didn't have the 3rd
heart attack on the 15-hour flight or
in the bush.

Respectfully,
Bob

That is impressive that you got over and got it done.
Nothing like a good PH to get you on the game, even when you are not right on tops of yours.

Thanks for sharing your hunt with us.

Congrats on the trophies! Glad you were able to get it done!

Looks like you had a great time. Never say you won't be back. You never know...... Congrats. Bruce

Congrats on your hunt! I was also impressed on my recent safari with how good the PHs are. Our PHs did an outstanding job coaching my wife on her first big game hunt, ensuring the success of our safari.

Congratulations on you hunt. I was there last year with my family, we had Hans and Hein as are PH. Sarel was in camp with another group, he was lots of entertainment

Bob! Nice pictures man and read your comments. Glad you didn't have a (3rd!) heart attack in the bush to!! yikes!

Yes God was with me on that hunt.
I blew 3 discs out in Alaska on a sheep hunt and had to walk 10 miles to the river to be picked up. That one about did me in but I love to hunt.
Going to try physical rehab and do a sheep hunt yet.
Did a mountain goat in 2000

Man! blowing 3 discs in that kind of terrain must have been crazy painful. Good luck getting that "widow maker" fixed and getting rehabbed. You're too young to be done.

And I'm still going back up and looking at that crazy heavy kudu. He's so heavy he has wrinkles in his curls! And those ivory tips are incredible. Pumped for you Charles!

Congratulations, Cruiser is a class act.

I can somewhat relate. I blew a disc, tore a hip labrum, and tore my glute muscle. Most of the time I can walk 5-6 miles up to 4-5x week but there are certainly flareups. Dragging and loading game, not for me anymore. I'm going to have to rely more and more on guided hunts, especially when the old man can't help me anymore.

Good luck to you

Oh man
Yes I had them fused when I got home.
Took a year to rehab.
I can only walk a mile or 2 at best.
6 back surgeries since.
Even went to laser spine as shown on TV.
14,000 and no relief.
I can still ride a horse though.
Best trip was British Columbia on a moose/ mountain goat hunt.
Horse did all the work!

Very good animals. Love the warthog !

Where did you get that monster Mike deer in your photo?
I have never seen one that big!

Hey Bob,
I shot this mule deer in Mexico about an hour south of Hermosillo. My wife calls it my $30,000 mule deer because it took me 3 trips to get him. I'm not allowed to go anymore.

But this is a perfect hunt for a guy recuperating! hint hint nudge nudge wink wink.

He looks to be 40 inches?
Awesome!

Very nice animals, that kudu is really thick and heavy, super nice warthog!

Congrats on your hunt sir!

Nice animals. We completed our hunt with Cruisers about a month ago. Thirteen of the seventeen animals we took were SCI Trophies. Great animals, great lodging, fantastic meals, great Professional Hunters all at a price that is hard to beat.
