That waterbuck is great looking. They can be a little tricky to get. Good job. That giraffe has pretty color. Looks like your ending strong. Been quite the trip. Congrats Bruce
 
Guys this has been an outstanding hunt even with my one day of terrible shooting!
The trophies
1. Two Zebra that will be rugs
2. Sable pedestal mount
3. Massive Eland pedestal mount that really shows his neck
4. Bushbuck full body mount
5. Waterbuck shoulder mount
6. Two porcupine harvesting the quills for the wife
7. Giraffe a head and short neck wall mount, rifle bag, rug, floor lamps out of the front legs

Yes Mike Smith at Capricorn has it all but the waterbuck and the giraffe which he will collect neck week!
Paw Print Safaris did a great job for me! I hunted with Pieter and Riaan who made a good team. Thanks to Steve and Max the trackers for their sharp eyes and great skinning abilities.

I'm in the Slow Lounge at OR Tambo waiting for Delta 201 to take me to Atlanta. Bitter sweet for me as I would love to stay and hunt some more.

Had a great time in camp with Bill and Lee from PA.
Can't say enough about the folks at the Flintbeck Lodge......they go out of their way to take care of you!

Me and the Paw Print team got this mighty Bushbuck just before lunch today! I fact we were headed out of the hunting area when we caught a glimpse of him through some thick stuff. Pieter said he was huge and to shoot him! It was hard getting on him but I could see his body moving and got a round through his liver to stop him. Then I could just make out his head enough to get a round through his neck!
This guy measured out at 16 1/2 inches.
Mike Smith from Capricorn taxidermy has already picked him up a long with two zebra, eland, sable and the two porcupines. I plan to have a full body mount done of him!

That will be a beautiful mount! That is a great photo of the killer crew!
 
Wow! That was one helluva trip!
You better find an ocean liner to get all those great trophies home.

Travel safe Charlie!

Sitting in that airport waiting to come back sucks....

One nice thing they've changed in Atlanta since last year is they now spray your boots while you're picking up your rifles. Saved a bunch od time as compared to last year for me.
 
Congrats, on the great success! I think your taxidermy plans are perfect. I'm sure the eland mount will look magnificent !
