Taking advantage of Midway USA's 375 blemishes

I just received my order from Midway and in the each box were 50 very good looking 300gr .375 round nose bullets now for the big question other than by seating and checking to see when they clear riflleing does anyone know where the to started for a col other n than the max col of 3.340 for the .375 Ruger?
I know loading books give this data but I don't know who the manufacturer is to check the data.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Search midway USA .375 blemishes I don't know how to import web address like I see so many can.
They had 100 270gr or 50 300gr under $18 but don't say who made them.
 
Easy enough to figure out what your col is. Close the bolt put your cleaning rod down the barrel til it stops and mark it with a piece of tape, then remove the bolt and insert a bullet in the chamber tapping til it snugs up against the lands and groves, insert your cleaning rod again til it touches the bullet and mark it with a piece of tape, remove bullet, re-install bolt and measure the distance between the 2 pieces of tape, my 375HH was about 3.50" yours will vary figure how much bullet set-back you want and your good to go

The only 50 box I can find is just the brass not loaded shells. Look at your order and give us the code for the order:)
Would just like to get an extra 30 shots.

These are just Bullets, no deals on loaded Ammunition

From what I have read myself when looking into Midway blems is that for the most part they are Hornady bullets.

Rob's method works, but they also sell a tool for the job.

This is just one of them, I've got one that uses modified cases such as the one above and it is very accurate. It works off of the same principle as what Rob is saying only you are getting your measurements from behind the bullet and you can feel the bullet precisely as it contacts the lands. The only thing that I have been able to find wrong with the Hornady blemish bullets is crimp ring varied on a few bullets. Other than that they are a hell of a buy and shoot well.

That is what I thought they almost looks like they are a yellow brass jacket or copper alloy not quite a copper color
 
Most agree that blemish bullets are from hornady I finally got my hands on a Hornady reloading book and all there 300gr round nose have a col of 3.290 so I'll start there for now.
 
Well I started loading for my .375 Ruger last night done all the prep work on brand new Hornady brass when I seated first primer with hand primer tool I noticed that primer was not seated all the way.
After some checking I found that rim thickness was not at .050 but instead was .042 thick which allowed primer ram to make a full stroke and not fully seat primer. I quickly switched plates and was able to seat primers in 7mm-08 and 35 Whelen and it worked as it should.

So after some checking on Saami web site found that rim thickness is .05 -.011
So it could go down to .039 and be in spec.

One benefit of being a machinist is that shim stock is available so tonight I will shim shell holder and try again.
 
Problem solved a shim .005 wrapped around pivot pin all primers are seated.
Picked up gun yesterday shot it 4 times with open sights offhand recoil was not as bad as expected for a gun that weighs 6.9# you know you pulled the trigger but was less than painful. Was using 300gr round nose and 79gr reloader 19 loaded next 5 with 80gr and will try to get a group today if time allows
