Reedy I came to the site after my first hunt. Had I been here prior to going that first time I would have felt better and the planning would have been much easier.
Contributing members should always remember what the first trip was like for us and offer all the help anyone asks for.
The various threads can help with the entire process. Then the interaction via email or phone with someone who has done the safari from start to finish is a great reassurance.
Last but not least as previously mentioned.....if you are vetting an outfitter.....this is the place to ask questions about him!

He does have some big time outfitters on his list. Maybe some of them have not heard about this rhino nightmare. I just wonder if he is as bad a guy as we all think or he got burned to in all these rhino deals.

All I know is that other issues have been reported prior to this one and the rhino. Fool me once....

What is an agents job again? What is the advantage?

What a good guy. Handed over the clients money without having all the proper documentation in place. Then blames the crook.

Part with $70,000 for an Air ball and see how you fell then.

After Theo was warned about Juan Pace and continued to represent that outfit he sealed his fate.

I have no idea what was done or not done. I dont use an agent so what there job is what each client ask them to do I guess.

I have not heard anything else bad but I did not search theo's info out as I would not use any booking agent at all. I was shocked at some of the big names he has listed that he books for.

Yeah, going a bit off topic, take this site for example. You could find an African outfitter on here who can cater to virtually any African hunt you want to do and you can also easily check their reputation or get references about them on here with relative ease. In some ways the internet has made an agent obsolete...

There are some pretty basic services an agent provides. Protecting the client is one of the great advantages of a reputable Agent.
Large sums of money to be held in trust until the successful hunt has taken place.
Ensuring the Outfitter can actually provide the permits to do the hunt, is licensed, etc.
ANTON BAKKER DOES/DID NOT HAVE A LEGITIMATE OUTFITTING LICENSE.
Was it a gypsy warning to see his company was named RhinoCON!?

Perhaps this is a large ASSUMPTION that he books for these names, or did he just put their names on his site to back the CON!

Plenty of people abuse famous logos, private property (photos) and use them without permission. For instance Loodt with Tootabi Hunting Safaris is still currently using the AH logo on his site after being banned from AH.
Why would he do that?

First off I am not sticking up for Theo hell I do not even know the guy personally. I was asking a simple question on what else he did or if he got taken on the scam to. I dont know him but was trying to figure out more about the whole mess. I started seeing others say stuff and figured there was even more bad stuff out there but no other details came out.

People who run scams are not dumb and may take more then one person down with them. I sure do know a bunch of people who did there homework and still got taken by people. It happens ever day sad to say.

Now how we got on tootabi and loodt is beyond me at this point. I dont know ever think maybe he forgot he had the logo on his site after being a sponsor on here. I know he is really planning on ruining the world and there must be another reason. After all sending hunters to this site would help him at this point right.

I found my outfitter on this forum and will see him very soon again for my fourth hunt with him. AH is a great place for European hunters to read reviews and get advice.

Not sure if I understand where you are coming from.

Aren't you a defacto booking agent for Paw Print, if you are helping him book hunts?

If you would "not use a booking agent at all", what confidence would that give others to book a hunt with Paw Print by communicating with you?

If you don't know what an agent is or what they do, how are you able to help clients of Paw Print?
