In addition to the Ruger 375 I am listing, I’m selling this Sako AV in 375 H&H. The African trip is booked and buffalo is not on the agenda. Not sure when I’ll get to go again, so these will help pay for the hunt.

The AV model was made in the early 1980s. A decelerator pad was added by a competent gunsmith; length of pull is about 14”. I have a Sako Optilok and Leupold scope rings. Your choice included.

The sites were removed as shown. I don't have plug screws for the holes. Original sites are included as pictured. The comb on the rifle is high though, and I did not find the sites to be usable for that reason.

This is a nice gun but it won’t get any use here.

$995 Plus Shipping to Your FFL. I’m a new member on African Hunting, but have sold some items on another forum, where I have been a member since 2007.

Please email with any questions. Thanks,
Jeff Davis

Mate, that's one sweet rifle you have there. I have exactly the same model in left hand 375 h&h, love it and will be using it on Buff/Hippo with Marius at KMG Safaris in 2017.
Great buy for someone looking for a quality rifle.

It's a nice gun!

Someone needs to take this before I get weak...........I got a gap between my .338 and .416 that needs to be filled. (I think Sandy will say the biggest gap is between my ears!)

Beautiful rifle!

It is a nice looking rifle!

Thanks guys! I agree that someone should buy it!

Never let it be said that I won't help a fellow hunter out!

What is your opinion of the Sako AV in .375 for dangerous game? Would you buy another one?
Does it function flawlessly?

This thread is an oldie! I was the seller. Really nice Rifle. I would buy another one again in a minute for anything like that price. Except for the fact that I don’t have any need for 375 at this point, unfortunately.

Yes thread is old, but I am looking at a Sako AV .375 and was searching threads about the Sako AV and this one was the most relevant.

I just want to know if people would trust their lives to a Sako AV before I buy it.

Thank you for the response

I would, so long as I had given it a good run through at the range to ensure everything was proper. but I might not be the best example, as I hunted cape buffalo with a Ruger single shot. And I would do it again!

Well the 1st shot is by far the most important, that's for sure.
I just want to know that if I need a 2nd shot it will be there.

Thank you for the response.

I would use it again on dangerous game in a heartbeat. Functions flawlessly. I actually purchased another AV Deluxe in 338 Win Mag as well recently.
