"Officers from the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) got a surprise on Sunday when they found three men poaching doves over bait, and then discovered that their blind was made almost entirely out of marijuana plants. The incident took place in Major County."

“Sunday morning, August 30th, did not start out like a normal day for game wardens Phillip Cottrill (Garfield County) and Lt. Frank Huebert (Major County). A passer by called in and reported seeing some Mojo dove decoys spinning in a field. The wardens arrived to find 3 guys dove hunting over bait. Strangely, they were using dove blinds that were built out of marihuana plants. The dove poachers were in possession of 45 dove, marihuana buds and a pipe,” stated the department on its Facebook page.

The men were reportedly so distracted, they did not even notice the game wardens approaching.

“We came in from behind,” Huebert told News 9. “They didn’t know we were there until we were right there.”

Bet they did not really care that they were arrested! :E Crazy:

F!@#$N STONERS.....................

Oh, that's funny....

They must be good shots. I mean to hit doves while off your face on weed would take some doing I'd say

Blind made of marijuana. - Must have been an expensive blind.:D

Hunting over bait. - Didn't realize we had stoner doves in Oklahoma.

Spinners in a field where the general public can see them prior to dove season. - This isn't even the part of the state where we make fun of the locals for having family trees that don't fork.

The poachers must have been listening to this.

I have a confession I am a terrible dove shot. Maybe I am doing it wrong. Probably should get all smoked up and try to hit em. Might help with my follow through!

Stuff grows wild in many states...

I watched a group from Chicago stuff the trunk of their car with the wild grown stuff...only thing was so was a highway patrol man..so when they closed the trunk and started to drive away the HP stopped them...

csant imagine it would easier or even fun to do this ,if your all whacked out and wok eyed .............

From what I understand it slows you down. Cant see how it will improve your shooting, thats why I said they must be good.

The article didn't say but I am wondering if they where using the marijuana as bait? :V Shiner:

I was just kidding Bluey, although if you saw me shooting doves you might think I was stoned due to my shoot to hit ratio. lol

I haven't heard that song in years. It is just as hilarious as it ever was!

Now that's funny!

I haven't thought of the song for years either. It just came to my mind while reading the post. Farm boys. "Take a trip and never leave the farm"

The song is probably a generational thing. If you listened to pop music in the US during the early 70's you know the song. It also means you are probably between 50-70.

Yup!!!!

I remember listening to it on old AM country radio while working on the farm.

When I was growing up that is all we had. FM radio was what the rich people listened to for the classics.

Now I'm starting to feel old.
