These Zebra came charging towards the truck and stopped looking back very nervously. When they passed by we drove a further 100m and found out why. They had spotted a pride of Lions in the distance. Their eye sight was very impressive.

Here is my Zebra.
Notice now the stripes don't match up. This Zebra survived a lion attack and healed.

Zebra was the greatest surprise for me on my safari. I had a blast chasing them around.

The fact that they are stunningly beautiful is just a bonus.

Zebras are sometime called “striped horses" and similar to horses, female Zebras are called mares and male Zebras are called stallions. Baby Zebras are called foals. Male baby Zebras are called colts and female baby Zebras are called fillies. Zebras reside in groups known as "harems" that generally consist of one stallion, six mares and their young.
 
My wifes girl friend asked her how we got the zebra to pose with us ?????
DAAAA!
And my mate didnt believe the second photo was a real zebra ??
He thought it was a stuuffed toy .
Some people make you wonder !!

I just tell them I gave it a 180 grain sleeping pill.... the really great ones just nod and say "oohhhhh, okay" The smart ones just snicker.
 
Busted my tail on zebra. Chasing them thru the thorn brush.

This beautiful stallion was recently hunted with Limpopo Big Game Safaris in the Limpopo Province.
The day started excellent and at one stage we were surrounded by Zebras, till we got busted by a herd of passing Kudu. We took the tracks and soon found this guy in the open. Dana made a perfect shot to the right shoulder and anchored the Stallion.

Here is mine taken with Marius at KMG in August.It was a fun hunt and my first African animal taken.One shot but he did run a fair ways.My son found him before Flex and Rigby did!We all had a good laugh.
Awesome animal and an icon of Africa.
