The Clock Is Starting To Tick

@Royal27 and @PHOENIX PHIL beat me to it... But you MUST be prepared for Nyala! That species is why you go to KN.
I'm starting to think I might have a shot at an ok Nyala. ;) I'm prepping already, now if I can find a buyer for my soul.

You will have a fantastic time. The KZN province is a beautiful place. My advice...if your not comfortable, don't shoot.

Enjoy it and looking forward to the report

Cheers
Jono
I never shoot if I'm not comfortable and sure, all it does is waste ammo. I look forward to creating the report. Thanks for the advice.

KZN was the location of my first safari. My bag was the same, except Nyala rather than Bushbuck. It is true, once you have been, you WILL go again. I just returned from my second safari for Buffalo, Eland, Zebra and Bushbuck. You will enjoy KZN and, like Phil said, consider Nyala as that is the place to hunt them. Out of curiosity, what outfitter are you going with?
Good luck to you on your return. I'm going with Chamanzi Zulu Safaris, booked through Cabelas.

Do add Nyala to the list if you are on the right property.
They have a few. Sometimes you can find a double, if you have no self control.
I am starting to think I might need to hunt a Nyala. And that is just an amazing trophy photo!

You should think about Nyala if you're going to be in KZN!! Lol!! :A Thumbs Up:. Kevin

I am starting to be convinced there may be nyala in KZN! i'm prepping as we speak. And enjoying every minute of it.

One less than there was before sometime this last May....

You enjoy also and let us know how it goes.
Will do. Think I'm excited? Check out my post under leopard trail cam pictures and look at the latest pictures of leopard. Man I can't sleep;)

This is not my tip. It was told to me from an older fella with many safaris under his belt.

"Whatever you think you need to spend double it and you will be close to what you will actually spend"

Also shoot that Nyala. I shot mine when I was there years ago and said "what's an Nyala?" That was also when the trophy fee for him was $1500. My PH said that he wasn't going to get much bigger but he's going to be more expensive if I ever come back and want one.

Happy hunting and straight shooting.

Now you're saying I might see a Nyala when I go? I'm starting to think unless I see a huge one I should have trip#2 be focused solely on getting one.

Thank you. I have heard that quote and am living and budgeting by it. And about the time I hear "Nyala! Big one!" I am pulling the trigger with no hesitation.

Hey all has been said nyala is a must for kzn but if you are into small game red duiker is also a very nice trophy for kzn

Enjoy your trip and as mentioned take many pictures
Thank you! A small trophy might be a nice challenge. I'll be packing some solids just for that.

I wouldn't be able to either! Just shoot extra straight for that leopard or you might have a better story than you want! Good luck and good hunting.
