Do not see any replies on this one.... well I guess this too hard, most do not walk and stalk perhaps not up for the challenge. A 17 year old from Wyoming was up for the challenge, May 2009.

I think it's a excellent offer to the bowhunter out there, looking for a buffalo hunt!

Thanks, buddy. The rest of the Bow Hunting fraternity does not think so.... perhaps to tuff.. or they listened to too many stories about Zimbabwe. Well let me tell you it is still value for money hunting Zim, safe no issues and YES your trophies will get out.

Hi Theo,
I would not necessarily say that is what the "Bow Hunting fraternity" is thinking. I think you made a very good offer as far as the price is concerned for someone interested in a Buff hunt.

With that being said, as a bow hunter the price is only 1 thing that grabs my attention. When I see an ad like this I look for more info on the outfitter. It is important to me to find a guide or PH that has experience in guiding specifically bow hunters. I checked out your site when you first posted the offer and it was not working. I just checked it our again and see that there is some info there. I did not see one reference to bow hunting on any page of your site or even 1 trophy photo with a bow hunter in it. You may be a very experienced bow hunting Guide, or you may be trying to gain new clients by offering this alternative. either way I cannot tell.

I can usually tell an experienced bow hunting guide simply by the information they post and talk about. Only they would know the concerns and questions we would have before we even ask them.

With all that, Kudos for offering a Spot and stalk bow hunt for a reasonable price.

Bushbuck,

Thank you for your open and candid comments, appreciate it. The temp website is not very complete and I take note, Will update accordingly.

Theo,

Feel free to post some information here. Information like how long you have been guiding bowhunters, if you bowhunt yourself, some photos of Dangerous game that you have guided with a bow etc. I understand it takes time to get a new website up and running, so take the oppertunity to ad more of your bowhunting knowledge here.

Hi Theo

I am not sure if you are aware, bow hunting is illegal in Matetsi Safari area and Deka ( National parks amendment 2011 ), it is only legal to bow hunt section A animals on private land and some campfire areas. Just thought I would inform you so everyone is on the same page.

Kind Regards

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the heads up, we were not informed of the amendment however we applied for a permit last June to hunt bowhunt Buff in Nyakasanga Area and it was granted.

I will remove this post until I have clarification.

Thanks again.

Great Hunting in 2011 for you.

No problem Theo, the law was passed Jan 1st 2011,

" No bow permits for section A animals will be issued in National parks safari areas and campfire areas controlled by parks"

Bow hunting for section A animals will be permitted on private land and campfire areas controlled by the relevant appropriate authorities so long as the necessary permits have been applied for and paid for.

Good luck for 2011

Martin

I think there is something to consider concerning Theov. I asked him before to send me references - yet nothing has been sent!?!?

Dear Sir,

I know one of my references did answer you directly on this very sam forum, on 11-23-2010. I neglected to go back to the post, my apology.

Did send you a PM

Hello, my name is Andrew and I recently hunted with Theo up in Zimbabwe, on this very buffalo hunt he is offering. In fact I just returned from this hunt last Monday, November 15th.

On my hunt I took buffalo, eland, sharps grysbok, impala, and a tuskless cow elephant. The camp is nice, food was good and plentiful, beverages included coke, bottled water, beer, and red wine for dinner. I never went hungry. Tents with en suite bathroom. The camp sits right on the banks of the Zambezi River. You will see elephants and hippos every single day. In fact the first night I was in camp an elephant was eating on the tree directly above my tent. It is a 5 hr ride to camp from Harare. I over nighted at the Holiday Inn prior to my hunt, 140US included breakfast.

This was my 11th trip to Africa, 10th safari, this hunt was as nice as I've ever experienced. I highly recommend Theo, his style of hunting and mine match perfectly. If you are wanting a lion, Theo has some great lions in his area.

I would be glad to answer any questions you may have. I am looking forward to hunting with Theo again next year.

Andrew
