Since my wife and I live in Lagos, Nigeria, we've been able to tour a number of places in Africa. In late February and early March, my wife and a group of ladies went and ran the Kilimanjaro marathon and then did a 4 day photo safari in the Ngorongoro Crater. I didn't go on this trip (see previous comment on marathon) Some pretty incredible photos to share:

Bluey..........my wife said that every lion they looked at up close was covered in ticks. Dare I say...........maybe they needed a collar of some sort.

ha ha ha , don't be like that .......

Great pictures. My daughter lives in TZ. I hope to visit her next year and tour northern TZ. What tour company did they use and what camps did they stay in?

Sandyridge1123: I'll get you the info on the camps and tour company. It was not the best arranged trip and this group of ladies did the entire trip piecemeal with last minute add ons, etc. For the marathon, they were in the town of Moshi, and the hotel was not all that good. They moved next to the Arusha Coffee Lodge and it was great. Then a charter flight to the bush and 3 or 4 nights in a tent camp, which was also great. Back to the Arusha Coffee Lodge for the final night and then back to Lagos via Nairobi.

For most of our travels around Africa, we've used Go2Africa.com in Capetown. The agent I use there is Bonita (bonita@go2africa.com) and she does a wonderful job.
