Hi All,
I added an image of my current book. It will be in bookstores Nov 3rd. You can currently pre order it on Amazon . It is published by Skyhorse . There is a chapter called "Africa". It takes place with Motsomi Safaris. I have been back to Africa since then. As these things go , I am currently working on the next book. I am about 75% finished. It is a book of short stories. I do want to keep at least one chapter per book in Africa. It helps the book keep an exotic edge.
I am looking for a hunt that I can write about. I want to bow hunt in RSA. It would be fun to chase a Rowland Ward animal. Most Americans do not know RW and that would be a nice segue into the story. I am looking for a big head, anything with horns. If you are an interesting ph or have a real character working for you, all the better. As you can see that I am a writer and not the CEO of a large corporation. Cost does play a role. Again it can be anything, a water buck , golden wildebeest (OK maybe a more reasonable blue or black)Kudu or really anything with RW horns. I have fallen in love with Africa. It is nice to show that you can experience it's wonderment and that it is in reach to the regular guy. That plains game were made for bow hunting. If you have something that would work for me let me know. Also remember to buy the book so I can afford more hunts ;)

thanks-Jerry

How about a giant Kudu?

Boy I hope that's rand.

It can be a waterbuck, or an impala, or a wildebeest, or a hartebeest or a two headed velvet monkey.

One of these fine outfits has got to have a real cranking story worthy animal. Giant gemsbok, lechwe ,tsessebe , just something . It can have been around for quite a while.

thanks-Jerry

Check out the ph I went to Africa with. I bet he could help you out. Www.andrifoxsafaris.com. I know him very well and am kinda his unofficial US rep. If you can give me an idea of what your really interested in and your budget I can put something together for you. Feel free to pm me if you'd like. I can also give you his email and phone #.

image.jpgimage.jpg I can get you a hippo in Mozambique with the bow. But unfortunately the trophy is not exportable at this point. No high fences. True wild Africa. We even hunted a crocodile with the bow last year. But that is very difficult and will need 21 days (is exportable). But the hippo is doable in roughly 7 days.

The crocodile was 14ft with about 1ft of tail missing. And had human remains in its stomach. Now if that wouldn't make a story I don't know what.

PM or email me if your interested in something like this

You would be hunting in the same area as Robert Ruark, Wally Johnson, Harry Manners and many more. We have actually found the ruins of a old camp that was named Camp Ruark. The book A Baron in Africa is about this this area when it was hunted by Safarilandia. If you are interested send me an email and I can explain to you some more history of the area and what we are trying to accomplish there to re-stock the area to its former glory days as the civil war and poaching has completely destroyed the game numbers there. Hippo and croc however are still plentiful as they are difficult to poach.

now theres your story ,zen dude,
romantic old camp used by the legends , man eating crocalizards, in the parched and wartorn setting of mozambique ,bowhunting the last of the amphibious unevolved dinosaurs with stick and string ........

To be honest , that sounds like a wild ride. I have to do some research. Can you send me a private e-mail sincerely addressing safety issues. Why can't I import the hippo ivory. I purchased some in RSA recently. They were worked by artist.

@zenbear let me know by PM or e-mail loodt.buchner@tootabi.com should you want more information and or someone to help you plan a hunting trip - I am also just a phone call away.

Looking forward in hearing from you sir.

Loodt

Ok how about a giant Red Hartebeest? Someone have an overlooked brute? In my three trips to Africa , I have yet to harvest one.

Until this guy posts something on pay it forward free I would avoid him at all costs.

If it hasn't sold by next week I might be interested. Stock would have to be changed along with some other items. I'm already having a 416 Rigby built so money is a tad bit tight.

Hey pal! I'll take all the .375 bullets if they're available.
Thanks!
