young fallow deer we had our eye on ,
was leeting him grow , to hopefully hang beside his grand father in 4 more years
but one of the farmers friends wanted the cape to put a big set of sticks on
this guy was second head , 3 years old
I reckon he would've been a lot better than his grandfather in time , but obviously his ran out

not sure how I stuffed that up the grand daddy is up on top

That's a beauty Hunthard. Love the dark stained antlers and great palms too.

@JWB300 it is a cracker!! If you look closely at the right palm you will see that a part of the palm comes out at 90deg. Common genetics in that particular area.

That is very interesting. I have seen smaller versions of that locally but nothing to that extent. Really cool.

He has a thick neck on him too - looks like he might have been pretty 'rutty'.

This was my best fallow last year - nothing compared to the monsters posted here. There aren't a lot of deer in this particular area but they are spreading and becoming more common.

This is the whitest fallow I've ever seen. I was hunting on public land and stalked within 30 yds. Unfortunately it was one week before the season opened so I left her to feed off unharmed.

Thanks Witold, unfortunately not my stag, maybe I will get his bigger brother this year:Cigar:

I'm loving these pictures of Fallow guys!

The season here only has a few days left and so I went out last night in search of a Fallow buck to cap off the season. The bucks now have all cast their antlers and are in velvet. I managed 4 Fallow bucks and a Muntjac doe at last light. A very good evening to end the season. Now its time to focus on some of my other pieces of ground for the Roe bucks and of course that year round problem - Muntjac.

Nice buck, where about's in the UK was he shot?

Looks like his mate lost a foot to it too.. Fences arn't the problem where I am, its the bloody open heathlands and dogs running everywhere!

he was taken in Gloucestershire yes we have free roaming dogs, ramblers, horse riders, mountain bikers and locals who think they can go where ever they like.

Look at the first pic. His mate didn't lose a foot, he did.
