WHO CAN advice me about where to go to follow this exam?

I heard that it's will be very difficult in few month and I would like to get this exam for my own experience and perhaps to bring some mauritian to this wonderful place.

Many thanks.

Lionel,
Are you a South Africa citizen? You will be able to attend most PH schools on request and even write the exam(pretty much only to test your knowledge), but unless you are a South African Citizen , you will never be given a South African Professioanl Hunting Licence.

Let me know if you need any further answers.

Kind Regards
Marius Goosen

Wonderful, MANY THANKS to you for your help...

Perhpas that if I am fast to follow those lesson I will better to estimate your animals for the conquest? LOL...

Sincerely yours.

Lionel

I phoned someone at the schools and he said you have to be a South African citizen or a resident to qualify.
So maybe if you had a permanent resident permit.

But I am not sure , just telling what I was told

Sorry man

Many thanks it's true and I think normal aslo to keep this exams for the citizen.

I was a little bit surprise because a lot of my non-citizen friend said that they are P.H in S.A...

Is this law new?

Hi Lio,
Its not new law . Ask them for their PH register numbers. Then we can check them up for you. We had a guy that did the whole course with us. He even wrote the exam. But this was all for his own knowledge, since he was going to write an article on it.

HI,

Best to have a look at the website PHASA - professional hunters association of South Africa

Charlie

In RSA, the Aliens Act of 1937 forbids a non resident of RSA to sit the exams or be issued with a PH licence.

However, It's not impossible for someone who is not a resident of Africa to become a PH but it's not easy and more importantly, it's not easy to get the relevent wide ranging experience needed to operate professionally and safely.

In case it's of interest, I'm an ex pat Brit who managed to get into the African hunting industry and have now worked in it for over 3 decades (I'm now semi retired from the field) in a number of African countries and because so many people asked me how to get into the industry, I wrote an ebook on the subject, which you can find here:

How To Become A Professional Hunter In Africa

Hope it's OK with the mods for me to post that link but if not, I'll understand if they feel the need to remove it.

Welcome to AH Shakari. I think it is safe to say that the folks over here at AH is much more relaxed over here.
Glad that you have decided to join. Your knowledge will be most welcome.

Marius

Thanks for the welcome.... I signed up a while ago but sometimes don't have as much time as I'd like to visit here.
