I cannot believe these are still here, dude...

A good price for good ammo!

But i hate that Hornady doesnt use standard length brass. However if you don't hand load, this is a good deal!

@matt85 - I use this ammo in my Marlin 1895 for deer and it is very effective, always exits inside of 100 yrds and leaves TWO big holes for easy blood trail. While it is nowhere near as powerful as Buffalo Bore 45-70 350 gr loads and does not penetrate as deep ——plenty deep for deer at any angle inside 100 yrds. It also doesn’t Kick-My-Teeth-Out like Buffalo Bore. Price is ok but I got 2 boxes last Winter for $45-$47 a box at Sports Academy and only use a box every 3-5 years.
If you are hunting deer inside 100yds -150 yrds this is a fine load

Price is “ok” despite the fact it’s the exact same thing and $7 less per box than what you get at academy (before tax)? What a weird thing to comment.

@Snowball - the price is OK and there’s nothing wrong about that, I also detailed how I’ve used this exact round for years and cited very positive results on deer, why I like the Hornady LeverEvolution 325 and compared it to another good .45-70 round (Buffalo Bore 350gr) and mentioned how it performs. Even explained why I wasn’t interested in buying them (have plenty) but still complimented the quality and usefulness of this brand of ammo and mentioned a recent retail selling price I saw — which is MORE then you are asking…. What is “weird” about that?

TO keep everyone happy , Ill just BUY them ,if still available. DM sent.
now if I can just find some 375 H+H. If not ,well 45/70 to Africa.

Nice Report! Im about to pull the trigger on booking the LDE with Patrick. I have been talking about it with him for about 3 yrs now. Romain hit me up the other day with an offer I can't refuse for 2027.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?
