Stop in for Supper, friend

Yes. Sampson county. Delway NC.

Lol, I was born in Greenville and that’s how I knew about chicken and pastry.

It's kind of like pepper vinegar, mustard or ketchup based argument on barbecue.

I do love the pepper vinegar base, some of the best is in SC at Scott's in Hemingway.

There is great mustard base as well. It's all about whole hog and pecan and oak coals!

Pepper vinegar, smoke and 12 hours for bbq.

Ketchup for bbq… Maybe for Yankees and old women.

Good food brings everyone together.

Very true! I've said for years that people from different walks of life and who are different places on the political spectrum would find out that they have way more in common than they ever knew it the sat down and civilly broke bread!

A BLT with a homegrown slice of beefsteak or mortgage lifter tomato on it = Peace in the Middle East!!!

Not a big fan of the sweet ketchup stuff from OK, TX or Memphis. It is also common in Western NC.

SC is split, mustard or pepper vinegar, there is a line running through the state that deliniates the two. There is also an orange sauce that you get towards the GA side of SC. All three are good to me with whole hog, low and slow. No butts, unless you're in a hurry around the house.

I live in Knoxville, and it's all ketchup/brown sugar based. It's all good, and all tastes pretty much the same.... Every time we have a work lunch, there it is. I've started eating mine with salt and pepper only, or with a spoon full of sauce and slaw. I'm not going in on what kind of slaw!!!

Takeout tonight. Spicy goat sukka with jeera rice

Well, the ol’ lady is out galavanting all over the country again, leaving me to my own devices.

Pork chop with Brussels, with shaved Parmesan, kosher salt and ribbon cane drizzle. A nice potato as well.

Italian Barbera to go with. It’s what’s for supper.

I have a warm spot in my heart for chicken and dumplings, whenever we would visit my paternal grandparents in the Shanendoah Valley of Virginia my grandmother would fix my sister chicken and dumplings the first night we were there and fry me a chicken on our second night. Those were some good times and I remember them as if they were yesterday!
Me too. My grandmother made excellent chicken & dumplings. A recipe that I have been trying to emulate from memory

That's like Shepherd's Pie for me. I could be having a high speed come apart, and a bowl of Shepherd's Pie later, I am as cool as the other side of the pillow...

Now just substitute cat squirrel boiled off the bone and it's stock, a stick of butter and pepper!

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
