Christmas List?

Its that time of the year again and what is on everyone's Christmas wish list? No one ever knows what to get me so I tend to do my own christmas shopping and have 300$ to 400$ left. I got enough bass fishing gear to last me years, or at least hopefully a few months. Plus a bunch of hunting gear; turkey broad heads, badlands hunting backpack, thin gloves, pants, turkey call, new field dressing knife set, face mask, and a bowie knife. So whats on everyone's list (besides hunts)?

I asked for shooting sticks so I can practice with them before my first hunt in Africa in April.

A range finder and some single bevel DRT broad heads. I needed a new pair of chest waders, but Santa had a pair waiting for me at Cabelas in the bargain cave for a $160.00 off the original price. Might be discontinued but they don't leak.

A range finder is a great idea as I've been needing one. We have a couple pairs of waiters but I used a leaky one for a couple days over thanks giving but put them out of commission when I decided to take a dip in the river in 45F water chasing a crippled goose when I hit a deep hole in the main channel. I also am considering maybe a pair of rubber boots for christmas. Sounds like a good deal you found at Cabela's. The bargain cave is also a great place to look for products in their off season.

If it shoots I would be happy with it!

A new pair of binos to take to Africa this summer.

Just FYI. I have one of the warn easy pulls. I use it to hang carcasses in the meat cooler after they are dressed. It works like a champ. I've had no problems with it and highly recommend it.

Ordered myself a MRC .505 Gibbs but it won't be here in time to shoot reindeer, other than that I just wish everyone has a safe Christmas and New Year.

I'm always hoping for another hunt, until that day comes I will continue dreaming.

right now my xmas list consist of 10x 42 hd, rangefinding lieca binos , and a set of swarvo 15 x 56 's
then I rekon a pretty little 6.5 -20 x 50 nxs scope with zero stop , would about make my day, come Christmas morning .

My Outfitters license to be approved so I can start my own Safari business!

1. MY African gift box is restocked and full.. knives...jackets... long sleeve shirts.... and other items... Check
2. Purchased a new Leica & Zeiss scopes..... Check
3. Purchased a new trail camera & memory card ... Check
4. Purchased a new LED spot light... Check
5. Purchased a new LED scope mount light with a red lens cover for night hunting... Check
6. Purchased 6 boxes of Ammo for my 375 H&H and 338WM... Check.

Wish List items: These are potentials...
1. New Rifle with matching scope ... a 1000 yard (rifle/scope) set up, looking at 3 different one now.
2. New Rifle rest for target shooting from Sinclare.... Looking for the right one...
3. New Rigby 416 Rifle... Dangerous i am going to visit with the US dealer in January...


Hunting wish list items: These are long shots...however you have to have future plans...
1. Elephant safari
2. Leopard Safari
3. New Zealand & Australia combo package.

Hunting & Fishing list.
1. Spring salmon trip... Check
2. Fall pheasant hunt... Check..
3. Antelope hunt... Waiting on the application and draw.
4. Grouse hunt goes with the antelope hunt.

Travel wise list...
1. Ireland vacation.. looking now at this one..
2. England vacation... looking at this one also and maybe will combine with Ireland trip...
3. Scotland vacation...Shetland island and Orkney islands. Wife would like to do 2 weeks at these places.
4. Alaska & Western Canada tour... Fishing trip... Been through Whitehorse 8 times and have yet to have a drink in a pub/bar.
5. Drive the west coast from California to Washington. Trip was moved up to January, 2015...

james, now dont forget us here in jersey when you look at your uk jaunt!! and i was at rigbys last monday evening for drinks and the rifles are looking very nice that are coming out of there. some very nice .416 on display and a couple of gorgeous little .275`s posing there as well

Wont be in time for Christmas, but its orderd as my Christmas present: Krieghoff 470NE, matching ammo pouches, ammo holder, new pair of Courteny Boots and one African species to add to my trophy collection.
Maybe in time for Christmas, a container containing around 80 of my trophy mounts
A week or so into the new year 48days hunting in SA
