Free Range Nyala Hunt Lake Safaris

Morning Roger,

Thank you for your interest in hunting with Trevor.

If i can be of any assistance, just ask and i will help as best i can.

Trevor is having some dog issues (dog's health) right now and he is taking care of his dogs. He has 6 of them baby's, and yes they are well cared for big baby's.

And he has asked me to assist any posters as best i can, and he will be on AH from time to time.

Hi James ,

thank´s for your help ! I am in contact with Trevor .
Best regards, Roger

With all the interest in Nice Nyala hunting opportunities. Both Trevor and I thought that Lake Safari's Nyala posting would have been picked up by 2 AH or non-member observer hunters with Lake Safaris great offering.

Here is a picture of an area that we were glassing for Bushbuck, we did spot 2 bushbuck, however we spotted more Nyala, that just seamed to appear in locations as the sun started to come up.

I think it is a great offer if you can find 2 hunters willing to go at the same time

I think you are right. Terrific offer, Price is great for the quality of Nyala trophy that are available. With the time allotted for this package, you will definitely be able to look over quite a few Nyala before you decide to pull the trigger.

I am already booked for 2015 hunts in SA and Zim or I would be all over this! Excellent offer! and I DO want a Nyala.
Now maybe if you could line up one of those "chick" hunters to be my second half of the group... :D Bet I could figure our how to make it work!
Don't tell my girlfriend I said that
Thank you for extending this offer to the AH folks. I am certain someone is gonna jump on this.

I'm gonna keep tabs on the hunt, I was considering it this last year.

I've been wanting to go Nyala hunting with Trevor in his area for a couple years. My trouble right now is finding the second guy and finding the time.:(

Hello Trevor,

Good deal on top quality trophies!

Bush Greatings

I've been wanting to go Nyala hunting with Trevor in his area for a couple years. My trouble right now is finding the second guy and finding the time.:(

With AH being a hunter friendly forum, with great members world wide. I am at a loss as to why a AH Member or guest (lurker) that is wanting to go on a safari offering, that they have not posted that they would like to find another hunting member join them on the group hunt? Heck, i have been asked this question by strangers while attending SCI banquets, So why is that not happening here? This happens at some Caribou and Elk hunting Camps every year, as the hunter is one of many that drive or fly into camp to go hunting.

I know we have a lot of working members on the AH Forum. One of my concerns to Trevor, was that many working individuals have to schedule their vacation in advance. When i was working i had to have my next years vacation, scheduled by November 1st. For each week of vacation you received, You needed to put down 3 different choices. Vacation scheduling was based on position and years of service with the company. That was one reason, that i asked Trevor to post his Nyala special early for the working hunter, so that they could schedule there vacation to go on this package.

This is still a great offer, for 2 hunters to have a go at a great Nyala opportunity.

James,
I can only speak for myself. The only reason I hesitate to seek another hunter out on the forum is that for me it's a lot of money to spend to go one a hunt half way around the world and take that chance of going with someone I might not get along with and having a miserable time. Of course that street works two ways as well. (I've been told by many that I'm not a morning person :D) Internet personas and real life personas are too different things. If I was going on a hunt in the Rockies or Texas than I would consider it.

We have the ability to do thorough research on PHs and outfitters reputations and the hunts they provide, as well as areas we want to hunt, but it's hard to research a persons personality.

Not only do I have to put the vacation in early but I also have to try plan a hunt around the time my wife and kids are off school, and the things they want to do. I'm still trying to figure out when life got so complicated.

Hi Biddleman,

I guess i may be a rarity then.

I have been in different camps (2) in Africa with other hunters that i had never seen or met before. No correspondence with them either and I had a great time. And with One of the hunters, we still trade e-mails from time to time.

I was also in an Alaska camp with hunters that i had never met before, and it was not an issue, we all got along, however we are not life long friends.

A few of this group were not morning individuals and another hunter and i would get up at sunrise and shout "I love it, I love it, rise and shine" and the day would begin. Maybe you would not like that morning wake up call.

James,
I have a wake up similar to that every morning. LOL. My wife loves to turn on ALL of the lights, seems to want to talk about everything, and is in the most up beat mood, while I just want to sit in the dark in silence and eat my breakfast.

But I have to admit I'm in a little better mood if the morning is going to involve some hunting or fishing and watching the sunrise from a blind or tree stand.

So much talk and no planning (n) Biddleman if you can't find another hunter pop me a pm and lets see what we can work out. I still have quota for next year and intend to sell them, even if you are not a morning person :sleep:as Nyala love early mornings;)

I saw you boys chatting about Bush pigs earlier on this post. Check out some of these fine trophy Boars.... I still maintain that these creatures should be given more merit than they get, as they make a very challenging and exciting hunt.

A little up Date, For those that are considering this Great offer for a very nice Nyala opportunity. :)

I have just chatted with Trevor and July looks to be filled up with bookings. (y)
There are a few (2) openings in August, with one being considered.

Also, this area is managed for 8 Nyala a year and then the area closes for the year. :) That is one reason the area produces big Nyala year after year. (y) Plus Trevor has his own Anti-poaching patrol for the area. :) (y)

Therefore, if you are interested in hunting Nyala this year with Trevor, the time to make a decisions is on you.

When does this hunt have to be taken by?

Rocky i sent Trevor an e mail to see if he can reply timely . He has been playing carpenter around the house.

Being a new member could someone shed some light on why there seems to be a lot of trophy fee's for nyala that are less than what the offer here is? is it the quality or the free range side of it?
this isn't meant to offend at all i'm just trying to learn what to look for
