That has got to be surly the finest buffalo I've ever seen. He must have had a sore neck from carrying those around!:ROFLMAO:Congratulations on that fine beast!! Kevin

Outstanding Buff, Enjoy the rest of your journey! Looking forward to the rest of the story and more photos of the upcoming weeks.

Excellent Photo's and description of the Hunt. When you went through the desription of the tracking and then seeing lion tracks my heart started pounding a little. All the photos were terrific and really added to the story of the hunt. Best of luck on the rest or your Safari

Congrats! He is an old boy for sure. The bosses are truly amazing! Hope you do a head and shoulder mount of him. Post pictures when you get him home.

that is a superb trophy jeff, really appeals to me as a top notch trophy.
Congrats

I am still in camp at Spear Safaris Tintshuba lodge in Limpopo hunting some plains game and watching buffalo. We downed this beast on the second day of a 7 day hunt. I still have another couple of hunting trips during the next 3 weeks and I honestly won't have time to share a hunt report with you guys any time soon.

However, I just have to share some pics of my buffalo with you... I have learned much from Ernest Dyason and Koos Moulder during my short time here, and I am extremely proud of the old Dugga boy that I was fortunate enough to track down and take as he prepared to bed down with his partners in the think of things. We followed these old buffalo all morning over several miles as we picked up their tracks early from he waterhole they had visited the night before. The presence of a couple of male lions on the track pushed these animals very far in their attempt to put distance between themselves and the big cats. With the help of Koos and our tracker Chengeta, I was able to identify and follow the largest track with them and with the help of the good Lord above, I was actually blessed to take the right buffalo from the half dozen bulls.

This was the perfect animal for me to harvest on my first buffalo hunt!

magnificent bosses, well done on a great buf

I've met Ernest Dyason a number of times at the African Events Show in Calgary. A very nice guy that has a calm "presence" that likely comes from his years as an officer in the defence forces of the RSA. I would not hesitate to hire him when/if I go for a buffalo.

Congratulations on a great buffalo! I don't think I've ever seen bosses like those.

I've enjoyed talking to Ernest several times at sport shows.

I also had a great hunt with Koos in 2005 hunting on properties in Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Free State.
Here's Koos and me with my Nyala...

Yes amazing bosses on that ole boy! Big congrats!

Very nice.

That's exactly the kind of buff I want - a battle-scarred, aging warrior with worn-down tips and great bosses.

Perfect! I agree with another poster - this is the best-looking buff I've seen on AH, and there are lots of really good ones here.

best ive ever seen.

Congrats on a great old bull.

great bosses, worn tips, perfect. congrats.

Incredible buffalo, hope to get a similar one ;) in April when hunting in Zimbabwe.
Is the hunting area bordering Kruger National Park without any fences or is the hunting area completely fenced in?
