MOZAMBIQUE: Disappointing Hunt Booked With Hunt It All

I agree that anyone that paid these 2 characters money was really hurting to go on a hunt. I actually thought the video of them was a joke until this guy came here defending it. That being said booking an ill-advised client doesn't mean you should bend them over and kick them in the crack.

Thanks for the great hunting report. Its takes such a great amount of planning and effort just to get to Africa for a hunt, its a real shame when things do not go as planned.

I will be hunting next year in Mozambique for Croc and Hippo with Inofauna Safaris. Has anyone hunted with them before?

Welcome to AH! I have only heard of Inofauna Safari through SCI. From all the hunt reports I've read there are a lot of crocodiles in Mozambique and plenty of Hippo.

I have refrained from posting on this thread because I am the person that Terry and Mark sold a Lion and Buffalo hunt to in Maua, Mozambique in 2010 directly folowing Sergie's Hunt. I have as reported filed suit against Hunt It All, Inc. And upon my attorney's direction haven't said much. The fact that I have filed suit, the first such in my life and I have hunted for close to 50 years and on three continents says what it says. I will be glad to tell all when the legal matters are settled. In the mean time I will only say that Sergie and Charl's knowledge matches my most closely and both were there others were not. There were no Lions or Buffalo on this concession and no signs of either. We will see what the courts say. In the meantime I believe you hunt with these people at your own risk.

Wouldn't the US IRS be interested in this guy? They are quite happy to work with Interpol...get it reported to your local cops!!

I had to chuckle at the dude in the pink shirt, though. At about 1:16 on the video he talks about their 'dangerous game...the BIG 5'. Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, Sable....Sable..?? :wacky:

what happened with the law suit? anyone know?

I know it is hard to believe, but yes the law suit is still on going. I am very surpised at how long these things take but will not give up. As this is the case, I have refrained from reporting until its settled. Hunt It All has officially closed there business corporation "Hunt It All Inc" in KY. However their web site is still live and I believe their phone numbers still active. Beware at your own risk.

In the meantime, I am happy to report that I hunted in 2011 in Mozambique with PH Paul Davies who operates hunting concession Block L1 in the Niiassa Reserve for Safrique Limitada. Paul is the epitome of what a professional Hunter should be and a great conservationists with an encyclopeadic knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area. I was again hunting lion and Buffalo . I was not successful on lion but saw lots of fresh sign. I did manage to harvest a magnificent old Dagga Boy, another very old Lichtenstein Hartebeest, a hughe tusked Warthog, an old one eyed Bushpig and a Zerba. Altogether a very successful hunt that I would recommend to anyone. I will return to hunt with Paul in 2013 which puts my money where my mouth is as we say. We say game every day. It is not the Serengati, but if you hunt hard you should be successful in what they offer and MOZ is still an old style safari adventure.

Safrique is a name that has some unfortunate associations with other hunters, as posted here on AH.
Amazing how one hunt can be great and another can be absolute cr*p! Goes to show you have to do your homework.

Good luck with your suit.

I am aware of the "unfortunate associations with other hunters" concerning Safrique. However as posted elsewhere on this site, those all involved other PH's and concessions run by Safrique. There were no unfavorable reports concerning L1 and Paul Davies. As a matter of fact there have been several favorable reports regarding him. I have always been of the opinion that the quality of the PH and the area has more to do with a successful hunt if properly supported than the outfitter does. Obviously both count, but it is the PH that one deals with day to day on the hunt. When judging Outfitters, I always want to know who the PH was.

I agree, all the details are important to properly assess a hunt: Outfitter, Area, PH.

Hi, does anyone have any contacts for Derek Littelton of Luwire safaris in Niassa, Mozambique? I am trying to contact him for a hunt on their concession but have lost his e - mail addy and the fone is un reachable! I see their website is currently under construction, so no go there either.
I know Derek and Paula personally, but not been able to raise them for a while now.

Many thanks,

Bruce

I would like to add some more facts to this thread. I was at the Dallas show 2010, when a fellow operator from Mozambique pointed out to me that another company, Hunt It All inc, had a map up in their booth of my area. I went over to the booth and there they had a map of my area, I have 272 000 hectare block, unbelievable...here is Terry Cundiff, selling my area, so I decided to have a little chat with Terry, I think at that stage he was having a problem focussing through his eyes. I warned him to stay off my area.

I did further investigations and found out they had a 10 000 hectare block on my Western border, unfortunately it laped slightly into my area, maybe 3-5 kilometers. They then built their camp over 20 km into my area, this isn't a slight error on their part. To get to this camp from mine is roughly a 5 hour drive, I did it several times to try and see Terry, no luck. One of my PH's did go over while I wasn't there and saw Terry. Terry's words to him was that I could "f... off" and that he had official connections....I guess the glass of whiskey in his hand gave him courage. Pity I was on a buffalo hunt 1000 km away.

I was on my way down to the south when I bumped into a Ph, we stopped and I had a a quick chat to the PH, he was off to freelance hunt for Terry for lion, asked him how he planned to do the hunt....go down to river quickly shoot hippo for bait..i burst out laughing...told him there no hippo..he was shocked as Terry had told him there plenty..I actually felt sorry for the PH, I could see that Terry had painted a false picture of the area. I presume this is the lion hunt that Rick was on..

Basically what I am saying is that anyone that hunted with HUNT IT ALL, out of this camp was poaching on my area.

If anyone would like my official documents and maps from the MOZAMBIQUE GOVT, I am willing to email.

Jim Dicken, you can defend Terry, but I know some of the things he did in Mozambique was illegal.

In 6 years I have seen solo buffalo 3 times. We dont market buffalo, I do have lions in my area, but only in the very remote areas, have had permits to hunt lions, but feel the numbers are not high enough to hunt.

This area is primary for elephant and sable hunting, 100% success on elephant and sable, I have not added that to promote safaris, but more to inform people that diffferent areas are good for certian species, as is Sofala for buffalo. You need to understand the country for which species is the best areas.

TMS, thanks for the input.

Just been reading this with interest. There are countless stories like this and these affect the legal operators in Mozambique.

Very few people who advertise hunts in Mozambique are legal - either PH and work permit or legally registered companies - they all operate third party.

Often I get clients complaining about my prices and comparing other "operators" and I say you get what you pay for!

As said before - references references and REFERENCES! Also ask for copies of legal contracts which will be in Portuguese and you can translate on google!

It should not be difficult to book with a reputable outfit these days with forums like this one and others. Always plenty of proper experience out there.

Jamie, these Illegal operators make it so much harder for us to operate in Mozambique. I am going to try and post on here, the official govt quota and blocks for 2014.

Hi Sergey

I see you posted this a few years ago and I hope you have had better hunting experiences since! It is such a pity because hunting in Mozambique can be a wonderful experience if you go with the correct team and it is organised properly. If you are still interested in hunting in Mozambique please contact us or look at our website to look at our offering in both South Africa and Mozambique.

I hope we can plan your ideal hunting experience for you!

Regards
