Had a Hornady v max from my 250-3000 blow up on a coyote. Didn't penetrate the rib cage last box of those I ever bought. I will take a core lock anytime.

There may be better bullets but other than handloads There ain’t many better commercial ammo.

From 243 to 35 Whelen never had a misfire, or bullet failure to expand or kill. Not always the most accurate but accurate enough. Good solid hunting ammo.

That barrel length must be a standard size in Europe as my Mauser 98 has that same length.

I have a personal rule in my gun collection. No 2 guns of the same caliber and no 2 guns of the same model. Keeps the herd under control and leads to more trades.

That’s why I try to stick with heavy for caliber bullets.

I believe the oryx line are a bonded bullet.

I bow to your experience on dangerous game, but if I were to hunt leopard I would consider them.
