Krico - A Very Rare & Very Nice 10.75x68 Big Game Rifle

Krico's are indeed smooth, I have owned one in 222Rem for around 30 years. Great caliber for teaching my two boys and for taking their first African game in form of Steenbuck and Springbuck. Enjoy discovering more about and using your new rifle.

    Sako 9.3x62 Groups - Thoughts?

As a hunter, where the first shot from ambient temp rifle goes, is for me the most important criteria.

    1903 Mannlicher Help

While others mention reloading/feeding issues. I have not had any feeding issues with any of my reload using 120, 140 or 160gr bullets from suppliers like Speer, Sierra etc or with RWS factory loads. Just keep a good check on COAL and the usual caviat of checking that all loads feed reliably...

    A Proper Plains Game Rifle

Both nice rifles, no experience with 4OO Whelen. Fully understand you going for the FN 30-06, my bullet weight of choice for 30-06 is the 180gr. I have used the 180gr with great success on springbuck, warthog, impala, wildebeest(black and blue), kudu, fallow etc.

Also consider Husqvarna if you can find one in your neck of the woods.

    Baikal double

I like my 45-70 Baikal it's nothing fancy but shoots well with factory Federal 300gr and my 300gr reloads. Cost me a fraction of my 9.3x74R S/S double.
