They use a long action but I would not call it "extra long". If you are wanting a short action rifle CZ would not be your choice. Perhaps a Ruger rifle is what you're wanting.

I just purchased a .470 double for my next buffalo so I would consider selling my CZ custom shop .404 Jeff. It did a great job on the buffalo in my avatar. Very accurate rifle. Has iron sights, pop up peep sight and currently has a great Swarovski scope. Probably something over $3k without scope and $4500 with.
